Both the HIV+ person and the victims' faults in this case IMO. Revenge infections are effectively the most counter productive solution to prejudice there is. The perpetrator should be castrated and imprisoned - he brings shame to every HIV+ and AIDs activist out there, ruining years of efforts to educate and combat discrimination. We as a community need to stick together regardless of HIV status.

Recently I've heard reports that bathhouses in Toronto are current revenge grounds for people who recently discovered their positive status. It scares me a little as I'd like to try a bathhouse. The situation with HIV in Toronto is spiralling out of control, thanks to our fat c**t of a mayor. I hope to volunteer with an AIDs organization, as it seems like a catastrophe is fast approaching. Anyone else tempted?

There is of course a big difference between being criminalized for normal behavior, I.E. having sex and not knowing you're HIV positive, and intentionally infecting people with a disease you know to be incurable.

Even though HIV is not, in this day and age the automatic death sentence that it was ten years ago, to knowingly and purposefully do this to someone; that is the height of malice. It is a clear statement that you don't care about the welfare of anyone else.

INMHO, those who knowingly and purposefully infect others with HIV should be charged with attempted murder, because in the end, that is what they are doing.

The day a virus has a sexuality is the day i turn into a vampire... Annoymous why not view global statistics and see world wide which side of the fence has a higher % in HIV/AIDS related infection....

As a HIV+ user on this forum from time to time PA i can answer this for ya as ive already asked this to the professionals. ...

On a final note PA did you know HIV and AIDS does not kill you?? It simply allows the gates to be open for other sources such as Cancer, phemonia, common colds to be let in and its through these that the host could die.

To be honest, yes I did know that AIDS in itself doesn't kill you but since your immune system has taken such a bashing you're open to any infectious disease and it takes longer to get better when it can be treated. I think we'll both agree that it is a debilitating condition nonetheless. Best wishes, hon.
