The Kowhai plant/tree bark in Kiwi-land can be cooked and utilized as a sort of BanGay for your back/muscular pains.
I have to read up on it more, but it seems the flowers can also act as a Yellow colouring dye.
They do gots a purpose Lilly gurl! however, when not cooked, it's typically poisonous, though it doesn't say it's fatal...
Sucking the sap/nectar out of bell-flowers(not sure if you guys have them) and Hibiscus cores(again not sure) is a good way to attain sugar, in a raw honey like state*tho very little)
I typically did it as a child with Hibiscus[/COLOR].
