Could use a word of wisdom

Bowyn Aerrow Wrote:How dare you, I'm your mother, and you want to tell me something this important via a letter? Well young man you might as well have just sent it in the mail - A letter - I thought we had a better relationship than that, I thought I raised you better than that!

I don't know your mom, but you can paraphrase that all in her voice.....

I don't know, something this 'big' isn't something you send a letter on.

Its three simple words, 'I am gay.'

No your right it isn't for me, the right way so I've asked my mum if she could drive me somewhere and that we need to chat without my little bros or my dad around and since she knows something's up she understood.
So I'm about to go round to my parents now so wish me luck!!!

Good luck, I hope it WENT well.

Just for the record I wanted to agree with Bowyn, but also to say that putting it into a note would be okay as long as you hand deliver the note, and sit there and watch her read it. That would help if it's just getting the words out that's the problem.

Again, not all families are the same. I wrote my parents a letter even though I typically see them once a week - and they were not at all upset by the fact that I made that choice.

P.S.: Congrats, Eth, and I'm very pleased to hear how well it went for you.
