Why are a lot of gays shallow?

Focus on getting some depth... you'll eventually end up having longer 'shelf value'... if you see what I mean. Develop a skill, or a hobbie in which you can learn, if not to excel, at least to be good at.
I'll disprove you by saying I'm actually good at a lot of things. Like way too many things.

I'm really good at grooming myself using my own tongue and saliva.

But no matter how hard I try I can't seem to reach my own asshole like my dog could.

In any event, I think I should get an A+ for my multiple ongoing concerted efforts.

He never knew how much of an effect he had on me but I was barfing on the inside. He quickly became the ugliest man I ever met....and it had nothing to do with his appearance.

That is one scary story East.. That's actually what I'm afraid of when I actually lose my weight. I keep telling myself it's just to get healthier, but who am I kidding,of course I wanna look good and have men fawn all over me,which is still okay I guess, but not if it will somehow affect my personality so much like in your story. :frown:

I have started to realise the online gamer community can be quite shallow at times.

I think he was like that all along actually.....and there is nothing wrong with being attracted to who you are attracted to..it is the thing about settling and who "belongs with" who that can lead you into shallow territory. Just be true to yourself and you will be fineXyxthumbs

Shallow is really a subjective term...we probably all define "being shallow" as something different...

Funny thing...some (not all) people who are strictly intellectual like to deem a lot of people who aren't as less worthy...and shallow...when emotionally and in interpersonal relationships so many of them are guilty of the same thing...no depth and often lacking the capacity for empathy....quite shallow actually. Of course...they wouldn't see it that way:biggrin:

Bottom line...we are probably all guilty of being shallow in someone else's eyes so better to see yourself through your own.

I'd have to agree on that most people in general are like this. I have cut off so many people since high school and before. Only person I literally hang out with is my best friend. But I do also agree on your point, of gays being really shallow. Have to say, it's really rare for me to find some genuine guys out there. Even to have as a friend.

I'm pretty sure it was Popeye who said that, not god.

A lot of people wear a mask when they're out doing the socializing thing. They put on a front and their whole shit is just fake. It's not just in the gay community, it's across the board. Of course if you're gay and looking at the gay scene all the time, it may seem like it's a "gay thing". The fact is, most people suck and are wasting oxygen. But there are good people out there too. It just takes work (and some amount of luck) to find them.

In my city (Denver), there's a large, vibrant, and varied LGBT community with several different "scenes". There's 2 bear bars, a leather daddy bar, a twink club, 3 or 4 neighborhood/average bars, a lesbian pit, a country gay bar (shit kickers and belt buckles), a skeezy degenerate gay bar, and a few others. Whatever you are, whatever you're into, there's a place for you!

My suggestion for anyone who's feeling lonely or looking for new connections is to find a place where you can go and be yourself. Hang out, get to know the bartenders and regulars. MAKE SOME NEW FRIENDS. You may not meet the man of your dreams at a bar, but he might be a friend of someone who hangs out there. Get yourself a network of gay friends/acquaintances. They'll help you identify and weed out the fakers.

I half took you seriously, Trollileo... I'm sure you're good at many things, too many for your own good, maybe.
