The thing is..some of those people might know other people who you might like to meet...it's how things work. I would suggest to get to know them all and socialize with them if you are feeling social and you might be surprised.

The thing about meeting someone...just getting out there is the key IMO.....Volunteering is a great avenue.

That is the advice to follow. Circulation increases your visibility. Let others know, quietly, that you are hoping to meet more people of your age and interests. Everybody knows somebody.

You enjoyed the first meeting. Keep doing stuff that you enjoy and don't worry if you are missing something. Life has a way of making you do lots of stuff that you don't enjoy. When you do find something enjoyable, stick with it.

Volunteering is a good thing in itself. You'll have some good times and learn some new things. If this group does not work for you, find another. Lots of people need help.

Stay, keep trying you may not meet someone straight away but in time you might. Do not give to soon.

well this thread has got me thinking that maybe I could do this kind of volunteering too...no idea how I would be useful though , and the chance to meet a nice bloke is a bonus I guess - I'd keep going and feel good at helping people, let the rest fall in to place if its gonna happen
