True! my saying so was to make a point! Most of New Jersey is very gay friendly! unless you are living in a heavily Latino populated area. Homophobia still run deep with this minority group, unfortunately!

I am afraid not, unfortunately! although my family, who are Cubans, have being very supportive of me and gay marriage! I am very fortunate, I guess!

Families with gay childrens have no idea the positive impact they will have on their gay offsprings lives, if their gay child/sibling/grandchildren/nephews feel a sense of acceptance and love! fortunately for me my family realized those benefits early on, even before i came out to them!

I could not agree more, Leandro. It was nice of them (and intelligent to boot) to let you be yourself and not make a huge fuss about it.
I wish it were the same for everyone who's going through this.
