Things you like about Gayspeak
#41
I would like a chance to debate and cross examine other members. I hate it when gays are presented as cookie cutter people who all love moneyl

On the day I met Tom on 6/21/68, I gave him a thousand dollar bill. He put a match to it and said he preferred me.

I prefer him. If I thought for a minute that someone was going to criticize Tom, I will call my cousin. John Brennan. I liked babysitting for him as a child. He is now the Director of the CIA.

My family is open minded. J Edgar Hoover taught me to debate and handle a revolver, a switchblade and a hand grenade by 8. I wonder how many guys can run faster than shrapnel.

I truly love unpredictability in people. With 8 billion people on the planet, we all know we are different.

Gays can be heroic and live to tell about it.

Haha, John, quite right. If the gays loved the money the way you describe the rest of the planet would definitely have to be careful of the -- what is it? -- 5 ... 6 ... er ...7 percent?

Personally I really like this forum.
Its easy to navigate, ordered, great advice is everywhere and friendly members are numerous.
Andy has been cool to me in the past and even though im pretty busy in RL I consider myself a member here though I frequent less often than id like.
Easy laid back atmosphere that has some monitoring for the overly vulgar, childishness and other negatives Ive seen elsewhere.

One thing I wasn't sure about at first was the quick links to 'Today's Posts', I was used to usually going directly to a specific forum on other sites....but I have come to really like the random nature of seeing threads from all the boards turn up.....it even has prompted me to happily squander time in last post threads and to bounce from advice threads to humour without skipping a beat.

Oh and did I mention how really, really, really nice it is that every other thread in Chit Chat isn't about terrorists?

I actually don't like it here one bit that is why I keep coming back and posting everywhere, lol jk

I like this place because everyone is very supportive of each other and there are no people that are judgemental of anyone and if there are people like that here they don't seem to comment about it. I love that I am able to come here and talk about anything and the thing lately is when I have come out that I am transgender and people have been very accepting and understanding and I love that and it keeps me coming back because people are cool because of who I really am.

I don't have lots of posts like people that have been here the same time I joined but I do enjoy venting about whatever is on my mind and not being judged or what not, there is just a good feel about coming here and I love that and I hope to stay for awhile and contribute a little bit more than I have been. Just a great place to be.

Oh hell, you have no idea what I actually think....

What you don't know is you look a lot like Bradley (one of my greatest regrets) and my nephew (one of my greatest failures). So I have many judgement calls about you which I just don't voice.

BTW, those judgements are really good ones. Biggthumpup Thumbgrin Seriously, you are in the unique position where you could commit mass murder and it would all be good in my books. Wink

It has been compared to Shelbyville...ironically, the very similar and often more cultured twin city to Springfield.

Quote:According to Lisa Simpson, Springfield built a mini-mall that was purposely larger than a mini-mall Shelbyville built. After Shelbyville made the world's largest pizza, Springfield burned their city hall. According to Homer they swore they'd spike Springfield's water supply, but assumed they didn't have the guts to do so. They did spike the water as Marge hallucinated after drinking a glass of water. [2] The rivalry is well-known even among outsiders; the town was manipulated by a slick-talking salesman, who convinces the residents of Springfield to spend a large sum of money on a monorail system they don't need by musing that the idea might be better suited for Shelbyville. (Mayor Quimby quickly tells him that the Springfieldians are twice as smart as the people of Shelbyville, so if he'll just tell them his idea, they'll vote for it.)

All I have to do is go visit another site for 30 minutes and read the way people talk to each other and I'm ready to come back -- and scared to invite people in other forums to join us. I invited one guy and learned my lesson.

I like it being genuine and caring, and troll-free.
