height difference in relationships
#1
dear members,

does height difference matter in relationships?

i am 163cm tall (5ft 4"). i am not sure whether men who are 175cm or taller will be willing to be in a relationship with me because there is a height difference of 10cm. taking photos together might be a different experience for us (if i am in a relationship).

Well, for me, I PREFER to be with someone who is taller than me. However, I am not going to turn down someone great just because of their height. If someone does do that to you, they were not worth it in the first place.

There are many who are attracted to shorter guys. I find it rather cute hugging a taller guy and taking photos with him... Malelovies

Being 6'1" (185 cm) I prefer guys close to my height or taller. My last Ex was 5'10 (177.8 cm) and that set the dynamics of our relationship. I ended up being the dominant, and he the submissive. In previous relationships with men taller than me, they were the dominant and I was the submissive.

It has been my experience/observation that typically the taller partner ends up being the more dominant one, and the shorter one more submissive. I have seen a few rarer cases of couples that upset this status quo. However everyone pretty much assumed that the taller one was the dominate one and the shorter one followed submissively.

This is evolution and biology at work, considering the bi-gendered species is composed of larger males and smaller females and that their offspring are extremely height impaired which leads to adults tending to be more protective of the offspring there is a real relationship in the minds of humans behind who does what for whom based on size of the individual.

If you are a dominating top, you may find that taller more submissive guys won't want to be around you to that balance out the dominating top thing. Unfortunately humans link bad stuff to short people who dare to be strong, domineering - like Napoleon was accused of being short and having 'short man issues' (He wasn't that short, but see how history and people have linked his behaviors to short man envy). So a shorter dom guy usually gets hit with some pretty ugly bias.

If you more of a passive/sub type then finding a tall dominating top will most likely work out real well, the height think will kick in and biology will take over.

Observation of humans in their natural habitats, I have noted that couples who are closer to height tend to be more versatile in their relationship (in and out of bed). those with marked height differences tend to have more of a dom/sub sort of thing going on.

Again not always, there are those couples who like to do their own things.

Ultimately you will find a guy who wants what you have to offer.

You are not looking for a NBA player (in excess of 7 feet tall (213+ cm) so your chances are far far greater that yes you will meet a taller guy (not excessively taller) who will find you all adorable and cute and all of that horrific lovey dovey stuff.

Short guys are cool ... it's easier to throw them around in bed. Smile

I prefer shorter guys, but height doesn't really matter. As long as they aren't too tall or short. Although I like being the taller one, I like to take turns being the submissive and dominate, but I think I like being the submissive one a little itty bit more.

I was an advisor on a site for gay teens and young adults. They did a survey where one of the questions was "would you rather have a boyfriend taller than you (by 3 inches or more), roughly your height, or shorter than you (by 3 inches or more)?" Over 93% said "taller". Which means a lot of teens are going to be bumming at some point. Smile

Does it matter to me? No. I'm over six feet tall, and I've actually never been in a relationship (or slept with) somebody taller than me. I'm totally fine with that.

Aint that the truth! They're easier to pick up and haul off caveman style too!

That helps explains my "herding instinct" around shorter and younger people. For some reason I always feel like I have to protect smaller adults and kids.

Lots of guys out there like short men. Lots of guys out there like tall men. Like any preference, you're going to find some who are into it, some who aren't, and others who don't care one way or the other.
