No, I'd think if it's like that it would be the other way around, as winged creatures came later. But, until there is no fossil evidence of the sorts, this is barely conjecture.

What alternative life would you imagine having?

One where I was rich, owned my own island with a massive modern house with a massive swimming pool, and I had enough money to set up everyone I cared about for a comfortable life with no financial worry. I can but dream eh?
