Problem

I don't want to admit I'm gay, I feel it but it feels a sin to me, I can not divulge anymore, I don't want to face up to it, joining this forum was a starting point but I feel I want to quit already... advice?

I assume almost every gay man has been in your shoes, struggling to accept himself, when most of what you hear about being gay is negative. Being gay is NOT a choice, it will never go away, you can't pray it away, however it is up to you how you want to live. There are many gay Christians out there, whole websites devoted to their issues where they can go, ask questions, get encouragement etc.

Take a deep breath, and don't do anything rash. Read up on the questions you have and don't believe the haters.
Bernd

Being gay is not for Sissies.

You are brainwashed by religion. It isn't an accident...it was intentional.

You have to deprogram yourself.....seriously...

The worst prison you can ever be in is the one you build for yourself in your mind....religion gave you all the tools to build that cell and showed you where to place each bar....

Tear it down...trust what you feel...it is the only way of that prison.

Yep, you have to throw out all of that negativity and start respecting yourself and your feelings. All religions were created by men (and we know we can't trust them) and any 2 denominations of even the same religion disagree on What God Really Thinks. If you want to worship our ancestors' ideas and let them mark you as an "abomination," have at it. Personally I think you should put them right where they belong: out on the curb.

Good luck Smile

East is right... you're fighting years of programming and brain washing from other people, society, family, religions... whom want to control you because they fear what they don't understand.

OR... if you insist on going the religious route...

God made you the way you are. You're special. He doesn't make mistakes. You are the way you are because he has his reasons you're not meant to understand. Do not question his word, and rejoice in that he has a plan for you. All that anti-gay crap people THINK is in the bible was added centuries later by puritans whom wanted to control the masses and fill their collection plates.

I would suggest for you to start looking for gay-friendly religious group of yours and engage with them, seeing how they worked out between their faith and their sexuality, and this is if you choose to go down the religion route. I did,and it works for me. Welcome btw~ Smile

Thanks in advance for all of your support, I feel I can definitely empathise with the likes of Thjomas Hitzelsperger who did not come out while playing, a lot of it is accepting it myself I pray to Him a lot but it will take time I guess, I already fancy a lad anyway but I feel he is unsuspecting, even so I am still confused I don't see many people around who would take it well
