Bloody hell if I've managed to forget THAT!!

Lol no I'm certain after those calls I remained glamorously passed out on my sofa until I woke up with a stiff neck this morning!

Given it's 2.30am it's going to have to wait until a decent hour! So, only a few more sleepless hours of fretting to go before I face the music!

LOL...been there....many times...it is one of the reasons I don't drink alcohol...

I do know how to handle it though .....

Just be completely humble and apologize... and be as upfront and honest as possible...offer no excuses...own it completely....it is the only saving grace after you fuck up like that...and it will restore a bit of the dignity you lost....

Oh yeah...don't let him make any excuses for you either...that is a bad idea...

If you want to laugh about it together..wait a few years

It is not necessarily bad...it is just embarrassing. Suck it up and call him and apologize. That really should be all the drama there is. Lord knows I've done some stupid things when drunk...it's embarrassing but that's about it. Wink

I agree. Sack up and call to apologize. If you have blown it, then you have blown it. But you'll get it out of the way...better to know than not.

It will also be proof of the strength of your friendship with this guy. If you were an utter asshat and he forgives you...then you'll know that the foundation of your friendship is secure.

But word of advice?

Don't drunk call people. It isn't very classy.

Hey. I agree with the others call him up. Otherwise you'll never find out either way. It's now 2pm uk time so perfectly socially acceptable time to sober call someone up to apologise ;-)

Let us know what happens. Maybe you could make your phone pin so complicated that you can't type it in when you are that drunk.

I've done many a terrible thing when drunk....learnt my lesson and don't drink more than a couple of drinks now. :-p

Drunk calling, for all its faults, has still been the impetus for many a friendship to move beyond the friendship stage. That said, given your story, I'd say your biggest problem isn't the fact you drunk-called a guy whose pants you want to get into. It's that you did it and literally can't remember anything. This suggests you're drinking way too much.

Called him!

Pretty sure he was trying to suppress his laughter as I apologised and confessed to not actually knowing what exactly I was apologising for! He didn't tell me either which leads me to suspect it was pretty humiliating, so I think I'm better off not knowing!

On the plus side, he said seeing as it's obvious we both fancy each other maybe we should try a proper date! So we're going out tonight for dinner! Think I'll stick to sparkling water...

Congrats! Well done. And sticking to sparkling water is a brilliant idea.
