Broke Up With Danny Tonight
#21
Pyromancer Wrote:Anyway, Danny said he was working late and then going out with his friends. Instead, he showed up at my house and Kev and I were watching a game and eating pizza (with all our clothes on and the cat sleeping between us lol). Danny started an argument and Kev asked me if I wanted him to leave, I said no. Then Danny laid out his ultimatum, It's him or it's me. So I said OK, then it's him.

such unnecessary drama. i wouldn't be fond of that either. you can usually deal with that by just letting a guy know in no uncertain terms that you won't tolerate such behavior. you won't lie, and he either trusts you, or if he doesn't trust you then what's the point anyway. this usually weeds out the more immature ones.

was Danny more or less same age as you, or considerably younger/older?

Doesn't seem to want to let me quote, so to answer questions in the last 2 posts:

Danny's 2 years younger than me. I think this was supposed to be another of his "brat" episodes (like the time he refused to leave the house to go eat until I changed my shirt because he said it clashed with his) --- but this one got away from him.

As for talking to him...I'm not sure what the point would be. I don't want him back. People have spoken about his probable insecurity, and I certainly hope he resolves it. If I try to delve into all of that, he's going to think that I'm interested in continuing with him. I'm not. So I feel like it's simpler to just let it go. It wasn't a long term relationship --- we dated for a month...

If he's interested in learning what the problem is, then yeah, talk to him. But it just sounds like he likes to bully/boss people around. Contacting him would just give him another opportunity to do that.

It is sad the knowing people has to get so complicated. Give it time to settle. No reason to be pushed around, though. That is a very bad thing.

Pyromancer Wrote:So he loves to remind me...

Do you mean correct in saying that Danny is insecure? Correct in saying that I should talk to Danny? Or are you agreeing with him that he's infallible and if I just listened to him, my life would be far pleasanter...

Yes, yes and most likely yes (for this instance).

Yes Danny is insecure, yes you need to talk to him. And in this Kevin is infallible, it makes good sense.
