Actually i do not think it`s very unstandable coz biologically she is not the mother of the baby. she only offered the environment for the small creature to grow up. The thing is, what would the baby feel when he grows up? Will he be ashamed of this? or hate this? or totally accept this? That`s the problem.

I think it's pretty sad that he wouldn't just be patient and find another surrogate. What's the emergency?

That said, I don't really understand why the mother and stepfather have any legal tie to the kid (listed as "parents"). The parents are the gay son and the egg donor. That is how I would couched it if I were to do this, which I wouldn't. "These are your grandparents and your grandmother carried you to term because your mother couldn't." Framing it any other way in the kid's head is just going to make him neurotic and the subject of ridicule. Plenty of kids have single dads. Having a "mom" who is technically also your grandmother? Not so much.

TL/DR: It's none of my business, and that's probably a good thing.
