Getting back with an Ex? Am i being used? What should i do?

Thank you all! I'm finally decided to call my ex and talk though everything last night. I finally told him that i was not ready and I jumped into a relationship win him too quickly and he agreed. I also told him that i will also not be friend zone by him either and i'm gonna be moving on from now. Although, he was a bit sad and insisted that he really want to continue seeing me as friend, i think i really would just complecate our feeling later on.

Now, i think i truly feel like I don't have any emotional baggage anymore and that felt so good
I'm gonna always take it slow from now on when being in a relationship with someone.
