Is there any way I can get a bigger picture to read?

I think it takes time before your father could possibly change his mind about homosexuality. After all, we're still living in a world of hetero-centricism. They tend to ignore our presence. Is your father a religious person? If so, you may show him some documentary talking about the issue of bible and homosexuality. I happen to know there is a documentary titled as "For the Bible Tells Me So", in which it involves the discussion of homosexuality in great details. If not, then I would suggest that you try to have a conversation with him. I know it's hard, but at least show him your attitude-- you are willing to talk.
