Meeting a nice guy!!
#11
I've never used those dating apps so I can't comment on how successful they can be for folks. I'm a member of several gay meet up groups which I'm finding are a great way to meet and mingle with lots of like-minded, interesting guys Confusedmile:

Dating apps can be successful, though you do have to wade through a good number of people looking just for sex. Only ever used Tinder and Grindr myself, I did get a meaningful relationship with a guy through Grindr, and I do know of a few people that are in relationships through Grindr, so it does happen if you can bear to be on the app long enough with a lot of guys just badgering you for hook-ups (the block function is a wonderful thing).

I have never been to one of these MeetUp groups but have heard of people that have. I reckon they would be a great way to meet other gay guys, in a friendly environment without the pressure of dating. Something may happen that way. It is nerve-wracking, but you just have to get out there Smile

RomanticMan Wrote:Hello Zen,
Decent guys are everywhere but you need to pick them up among non-decent ones. All dating apps are just porn sites except for a few people. deephiance has a nice word for it, which I still remember Big Grin ''all sites and the people are same under a different logo.
I met a decent guy but it just didnt work.
What to avoid;
- People who takes their feet photos (I'm sorry that you have feet photos. your feet are nice hehe) But some wears dirty suck etc...
- Avoid from people who shows BDSM pictures, those are generally not into relationship as the way you said.
- Avoid from people who directly asks ''what do you look for?'' or ''asl''.
- (this one is a personal one) I'm not feminine but I avoid people who behave feminines like they're girls. They write on their profile ''I want a real man, not man looking females''

and when you say ''roughened'', you mean a face with many acne marks? if it's wrinkles, some even find it hot.

Thanks for the tips and the foot complement haha!

Yeah my face looks like it's lived life! Haha!

IanSaysHi Wrote:Tinder. It's a bit superficial, but actually nicer than Grindr in my experience. Also plenty of fish.

Also being single and eating cake is fun. Ian's top tip right there.

Ah ok Tinder or POF, cool! Like the top tip too! Hmm coffee sponge has come to mind yum!

Cheers mate! A friend of mine said he has found a few gems on grindr, but think he's happy not to block the offers if you know what I mean!!

When I read the thread heading, I thought you were meeting a nice guy!! Haha yaaaay!!
However, it's a question only...
I guess anything is possible. You may meet him using apps or even on the street. The advanced technology makes everything a little bit too fast. My advice: remind yourself what you're looking for; be yourself; never rush.
