Don't meet, stranger danger

i was 17 and met a 47 y/o. So who am I to judge?..

Still, I was a few months from 18 and a year means a lot at that age. I think you should wait. Let masturbation be your release until you're 18.

You are old enough to have had your parents warn you about doing things like this. Think it out. This is not a good idea at all.

If you are curious about sex and need to talk about it folks here will be glad to help. You should also consider talking with older trusted friends and family members. You can explore your questions safely without resorting to meeting strangers. Remember too that you are16. You have time to get to know people. No need to rush.

Have you video chatted with him? Did you initiate the first contact or did he? Why do you want to meet him and what do you hope to get from the encounter? Do you know any of his friends or family?

At the very least postpone it while you talk with us more, but I think I'll probably join in with the crowd who thinks you're better off canceling that meetup altogether.

Generally speaking, relationships with such a large age difference are not smart, especially one first starting online. You're much better off with someone closer to your age.

there is no reason why an adult in his 50s should want to meet a 16 year old boy in a park - im sorry to say boy but you are still classed as a minor - im not trying to be patronizing , if you still want to meet him then ask him you can tell your parents his name , address, and a photo - if all parties agree its all innocent then fine - if he denies any single part of this then do not meet him ever...no matter what assurances he gives - a pedophile knows exactly what to say to make it all sound innocent , do not fall for it

I'm neither immature or stupid which is why I felt messed up about this and went to the extent of creating this post. I guess my humane tenancies got in the way which is why I wanted to get some insights into this. Thanks all.

Reading back the post I made, I guess I made it sound like it was going to happen but I assure you I made this thread to get opinions. Thanks again!

You definitely didn't come across as either stupid or immature. I thought you were being really sensible in wanting to talk this over with people and get different perspectives.

If some of us seemed to come on too parental, it was out of concern, not judgment. Lol I have a neighbor who's 83, and I talked to him the same way when I got scared over something he wanted to do.

I wish we lived in a world where we could take everyone at face value, but we both know that isn't the case.

I hope you decide to stick around and join in other discussions on the forum, you'd be a welcome addition.

Look, Cody, I'm sorry if I came across sounding like a deranged nun or something...and I don't think you're stupid by any means...you had the brains to know you needed some opinions and input, which is more than I can say for some guys twice your age.

Like I said, I was married to a cop, so I heard about the worst outcomes. Also, I'm a parent, and I tend to look at everything in terms of the need to protect.

You said, "...I guess my humane tenancies got in the way..." and I get that. The desire to help others is a very good thing, we just need to be sure we don't do it at our own expense.

Anyway, Welcome to the forum, and I hope to see more posts from you Sheep
