Would you date a fat person?
#91
Umm...I have to be honest...I am an active person and I like to do alot of physical things...so I would like a guy who can keep up with me and do these things with me...so I wouldn't date a fat person.

I am a fat person, and as hypocritical as this may be, I would not date a fat person.

Not my type. I am not physically attracted to fat people and for me to date someone, it needs to have some kind of chemical (including meet the eyes). However, I believe in fate so if it 's my destiny then I am happy with it.

Fat people do, on average, have a better personality than the ones who are all fit and into themselves. They have to develop a good personality due to the ignorant people who normally tease and make life miserable for them. There's plenty of pretty skinny mini's who go through life being bland as sand, but are automatically liked just because of their appearance.

I would never date an obese person- but there's nothing wrong with being a lil chubby.

I'm a friggen cook- I like a man who can eat!!!

I don't know if you're expecting someone to pull the 'biology' card, but we are wired to be attracted to physical things. That's how advantageous traits are passed to offspring. I think it's completely normal to be attracted to a certain age group, and a certain weight class. (whichever they may be). That's not bigotry.

There is nothing wrong with physical attraction. It's what starts almost every relationship. And superficiality is definitely not limited to the gay community!!!!

I have to make a comment here...I get what you are saying in general but there is something that I have not seen discussed at all here and it has been an issue with me for years...

It all begins and ends inside of each of us individually and for everyone who is fat/old/self conscious about their body image/self loathing...I have to ask one question that I never hear asked...how much do YOU add to the problem? I assure you I am not trying to be rude but I believe in taking personal responsibility for my attitudes and I know that sometimes it comes off as being rude and that is not my intention at all.

Here are a few important questions to consider IMO. Do you objectify others? Do you put people on pedestals and find them attractive based solely on their looks?...or because of their age? If so...then you are part of the problem. If you objectify people then you are as guilty of being a bigot as someone who does not want to date someone who is old/fat ect.

I think beauty..skin deep or to the bone so to speak...has an element of honesty to it. I find little beauty in dishonesty...intentional or otherwise.

But exactly how do you measure and define a fat person? By BMI, most of us are considered fat. I'm visually thin and fit but based on BMI, I am still considered to be fat.

For me, when you fall in love, you fall in love. That's that really. However I do want my potential guy to care about his health. I am not expecting him to be a health freak but he needs to care about his well being and health. Also to be clear, I am not into morbid obese and extreme thinness as both are not healthy.

Kind of myth for me. Each individual carries his own self. Anyone can be an ass. It doesn't matter if you are tall, small, big or short.

.
I am around 20 lbs under weight based on BMI but I found myself balance ( maybe 5 lbs more would be better ). And I feel like if I gain that 20 lbs, I will be fat

To me fat would be obese. Nothing against fat men, I have some that are friends. I'm just not attracted to them in a sexual way.
