Would you date a fat person?

on the other hand, i think that a persons stature shows alot about their personality, if he lets himself get to the point of being "fat" then he obviously doesnt have alot of self respect as he is damging his body, whereas a thinner or more muscular person obviously cares about himself and this, i think, would be reflected in the way he treats others.

I don't think I can really agree with that if you mean he would treat others better. Tbh, I think it's unfair to assume anything about somebody's personality by the way they take care of themselves, but I suppose my mind would instantly leap to the opposite thought. I think they might be more self-interested. But that's just as unfair an assumption to make.

Besides, if they are more well-rounded, as it were, it might mean that they just eat well. Wining and dining can definitely pile on the pounds - i.e. they treat themselves well by indulging in rich food and drink and they might share that with you!

I think a persons actions, behaviour and personality speak more about their personality than their weight. It could be said that because some muscular people are complete self obsessed t**** then someone who is not muscular is a lovely person by default.

I agree with juk...

there are far more important things than the weight of a person.

Yoga and if you have weights try walking around the house with them. Of course I mean strap weights or small ones. If you like to do push ups and sit ups, just do it on carpet, or you could make your tailbone quite sore.

I went with "maybe, it depends." I think some fat guys may look good, but I'm generally not into 'em.

I will never understand bigotry in the gay community. AGE bigots, WEIGHT bigots, and ant other things you may not see as attractive

A person should not be judged by the way they look but by the love in their heart and the thoughts in their mind.

the saying goes beauty in only skin deep True in most cases........BUT UGLY goes all the way to the bone

I think that is a bit strong. I have not heard anyone claim that overweight or older guys are evil, immoral or 'don't count'. I really do not think it is bigotry to choose not to go out or socialise with a particular set of people.

Dating is a bit more than just socialising, Fred... (?) at least that's my understanding.

By go out with I meant to include dating, my apologies for not being clear enough.

OK Fred. I thought that dating had the emotional aspect to it, or rather the hope of an emotional aspect to it... So again, would anyone refuse to date someone (with the hope for an emotional relationship) on grounds of weight, I don't know. It seems a bit silly to generalise, in fact.
