So many questions about 'coming out'...

I have been married and divorced twice, I have 4 kids and 2 grand kids. Would I have lied knowing the out come, no because it was a lie from the beginning to be heterosexual in the first place. I grew up when being gay was almost a death sentence, when I came out I was attacked repeatedly. So I tried to conform to the standard expected for a male child but that wasn't me. I now have a best friend who is straight with a girl friend, who cares about me as an individual more than himself. I do feel much more free and everyone is able to deal with me with their own prejudices but know I am the same person that they knew before. I don't hide who I am but don't advertise it either. hope this makes some kind of sense, Jim

I sort of had a talk with my wife. I called her from the work.

At first I only wanted to see how she will react, but at the end of the talk, she understood that I was gay.

She didn't freak out at all. I didn't expect her to freak out in the first place, but I didn't think she was going to take it this well.

She was laughing the whole time. She found it hillarious.

Oh no... she didn't think it was a joke, she knew it was serious. But she found it funny anyway.

She started to ask me if I wanted to have sex with another man, and I said no, not yet, and I was going to ask if it was OK if I did, but I didn't.

I didn't coz I was afraid she might say YES. She's so naughty...

I kept telling her that this is all just a big 'what if'... a hypothesis. But I think she has made up her mind that I was gay.

Anyway... we're still talking... bit by bit... we don't have much time to talk... working... raising kids... by the time we have some free time, we just want to sleep coz we're so tired....

After I hung up the phone, I asked myself,

"Who should I suprise next?"

And I thought of my best friend, and thought what will happen if I told him I was gay.

At first the thoughts were playful and humourous, but as I thought harder and more seriously, it wasn't so funny anymore.

Like I said, I can say I'm gay on the internet, but will I be able to say I'm gay to my best friend?

I'v had fun coming out and confusing people.
My best fried Ana and I sometimes seem like we are going out and are very intimate.

there was a rumor going around that I was the one that got her pregnant.
I liked this rumor its so funny.

not long after I had come out on the net I ended up coming out to my friends. But most of my friends were girls.

Your wife sounds like an amazing woman. Whatever she says I'm sure this is all more complicated than it sounds. Take care of her, of yourself and, of course, your children.

I also remember a post-euphoric period. Reality can hit very hard.

You may say to yourself, "My god, what have I done?!"
