16-year relationship ending
#11
cuteboi everything will work out i know what its like to be in this state but i think u need to be content by urself right now. Dont let a man be the make or break of ur life. No one is ever that important that u should feel the urge to commit suicide. I know this is a rough time right now i honestly do. Butr ur ex ruined everything u need to think about urself. not others right now. I think u should stay single for a while and get ur head back on straight and then get back into the dating world because without ur head u wont make consious decision with my lead to even more heartbreak. I will pray for u if u ever need me text me 18145288587

I think a counselor is a great idea...also...have you ever considered the possibility of an open relationship? May I ask...does it hurt more that he lied and decieved you or does it hurt more thinking about him with someone else?

I am actually going throught the exact same situation right now. Slightly different circumstances, but very similar related to the length of time and meeting someone new. First and foremost there is nothing worth harming yourself over. Secondly remember that your partner may be feeling trapped as well and not willing to admit it. We have done the three way thing and all it makes me feel like is a fraud to the outside world. I am very worried about hurting partner like you, but then I think isn't time for me to be happy. I would just make sure that you are not leaving becasue of the new person but because your current relationship isn't fulfilling your needs anymore.

That is extremely devastating and you were together for a super long time. My ex and I intended on being together forever. However, he was not telling me stuff during our last months together. I would later find out he blabbed about it to his ministry or something... his mom told me. He might have been cheating on me without me knowing during our tough times. However, I'm highly skeptical about that. He was extremely faithful and so was I, even during the really tough times. The one thing that bothers me is that we had a little agreement that if something was going on during our relationship and it was major, he would tell me immediately and as soon as possible.

I'm sorry to read about your situation. Yeah, I would suggest seeking therapy over this. That may help you.
