SlipknotRlZZ Wrote:I don't think Marilyn Manson actually counts for rock. Or maybe he does. :S Wish there could be a thread for music from the last few years.

Actually, SlipknotRlZZ, nobody's stopping you from creating your own thread for today's wonderful music groups and songs... Why don't you start one?

I can't tell you how pleased I am to have found this  even if I am sorry about the crappy sound.

String Driven Thing, one of Glasgow's finest bands, was one of my favourite bands of the early 70s. I saw them so many times Cool They never needed a drummer ... even when they eventually succumbed and employed one (I blame the record company Wink). Pauline Adams, seen here bashing a tambourine, added a crash cymbal to her instrumentarium which she hit with the tambourine in all the right places (usually very hard by jumping up in the air and giving it a good whack). Chris Adams' percussive guitar playing and offbeat songs (how many other bands write about circuses, telling the aerialists to fall?), along with the extraordinary violin playing of Graham Smith just made the perfect night out. A friend of mine from school often got to do lights for them when they played in our area. I hope you enjoy this if you never heard this band before. Now you've heard of them you've got no excuse not to search out their music Rolleyes
