Ok, well I had to do a little editing:
Act I the last line had to change since the fairy mission changed
Act II, I didn't like the second verse or the rhyme of the 21st.
So, the tempo was starting to aggravate me. Therefore, I changed it.
Act III - adagio and the heart of the story.
And Act IV ends it, it tries to tie the tempo of the first and second acts with the third.
I had to finish this and well, move on.
Act III:
He watched the three dance with their radiant inner glow
Stop your laughter and your idiotic show
Return me to my castle, my patience is growing thin
You have no power here, O King
A sleight of hand and he was dressed in peasant finery
Eyes narrowed, his displeasure known, where might I be?
No bells to ring, no you cannot flee
Eye to eye with Oren he stood, I thought you would be smaller
Maybe it is you we did compress, your royal highness
The King turned away examined his hands in horror
Silence you giggling fools! Your names I demand
A fire Oren did make out of thin air
The fairies settle around. You know well we’d never be so foolish
As to give power over our being, to summon at your wish
What do you want? Jewels? Gold? Silver?
We want nothing from thee, came Kalen’s whisper
I request again, return me to my tower
Elden stood and around him did nip and hover
Back off! He turned abruptly, what prompted this abduction?
Well, there were the blossoms you so carelessly did trample
So easy to offend! You who threw petals on my floor!
Elden put an arm around the shoulders of the King.
We thought you could use our company.
Do not be so familiar. Pushed him off, your fellowship I do not desire
Return me to my tower
Oren rose.
Home you want?
It is home you seek?
This game grows weary, so it shall be.
You are free.
The three fairies settled around their fire.
Thank you, the King inclined his head. A direction I do require.
Each pointed finger gave a different trajectory.
Then they giggled with glee.
Slowly the King settled to the ground
The fairies had won this round.
Smiling and humming, Kalen jumped to his feet
Bowing, he offered fairy bread so sweet
I am glad you decided to stay
Come, this is a lovely tree under which to lay
The King rested upon the ground, moonlight filtered through the leaves
He noticed a web of intricate weave
Then to his dismay, his eyes did focus, a tiny fairy was caught
He told of her plight, but they insisted they saw naught
But, she’s so small, surely you care!
Fly up there!
The three fairies sat around the fire. Maybe it’s her fate, her destiny.
Outraged the King rose to his feet and climbed the tree.
Kalen, no! whispered Oren, his hand calmly kept the fairy down when he would have flown.
His fears he must face alone.
Steadily he rose through the branches to the spiral trap.
Finally reaching the tiny green spirit indeed caught in the web, wings entrap.
Troubled eyes met his filled with Sadness. There isn’t much time, came her whisper.
The King looked above his head to see a giant spider eat the last of a moth
Frantically he tried to free her wings, the web was tougher than he thought,
he eyed the monster’s steady approach.
He ripped a branch and finally made a tear
slipped her wings free with care.
one wing wrecked
he placed her inside his shirt she clung to his strong neck
The spider gaining quickly they climb down, his hand slipped and they fell the last few feet to the ground
He opened his eyes to three fairies standing around
Gently he placed the delicate spirit in Kalen’s outstretched hands. Is she ok?
Yes, he smiled and healed her wing without delay.
She bowed her head in thanks, then turned to the King
Thank you, kind sir
I am much in your debt
You have my gratitude
And, I will not forget
The King smiled and bowed, you are very welcome, fair lady. And off she flew.
Think that you should rest, the King’s scratches Kalen healed.
I would rather continue to my home, he appealed.
If you so wish, he inclined his head.
No, games? No games, Kalen said.
We will fly together, Oren instructed.
Take my hand, fly with me into the air
The King put his hand in Kalen’s just as Elden blew fairy dust everywhere
The King felt himself smiling, and then screaming
as Elden blew them into a summersault
Oren, quick as a thunderbolt
Calmed the air
The four paused as a swarm of small sprites flew out of a tree
And decided to follow out of curiosity
Down below, an old fairy pulled a cart filled with ashes
His wings worn and full of gashes
Suddenly the sprites decided to attack relentlessly
the old fairy crouched and screamed in agony, such Despair
Without thinking the king let go of Kalen’s hand
On fairy dust he glided to the ground
Grabbing tree branches he swatted the stinging spirits away from the old fairy
The fairies blew the remaining sprites out of the meadow.
The King helped the old fairy rise, faded green eyes still had a twinkle
Thank you, kind sir
I am much in your debt
You have my gratitude
I shall never forget
The king bowed. You are welcome, sir.
The King and the fairies righted the old cart
then stood there and watched him slowly depart.
It was there in the distance the King saw his castle
His heart quickened, yet a wave of dizziness fell him to the ground.
