I saw Divergent on Saturday... and that was basically my entire day that day..........

We watched Captain Phillips last night. Absolutely amazing. Tom Hanks and the Somali actor who played the lead pirate were phenomenal. Highly recommend this one!

We believe you! It's hard for us to watch Tom Hanks at the moment, but you know how that is. We'll check it out one of these days when we're not in our quirky mood.

Just watched Dallas Buyers Club.
Mathew McConaughey's Oscar for Best Actor for the portrayal of Ron Woodroof from a loner out to line his own pockets to fighting the cause for more widely available unapproved AIDS treatment is almost completely overshadowed by Jaed Leto's performance as the transexual ultimately befriended by Woodroof.

Mr. McConaughey finally gained our respect. It's a must see!

Jeune et jolie (Young & Beautiful) a Francois Ozon movie, I like french movies, I like the Ozon.

During the summer holiday, Isabelle a 17 year old girl loses her virginity with her crush, a german nice boy, but she disliked the cold experience.
Back to Paris, in the autumn she decided to became a prostitute for rich men.

Ozon has an abilty to describe things, people and their emotions maintaining some kind of distance, without being a judge or making the spectator a judge. The intelligent spectator, I mean.
Here we have a portrait of a 17 girl from a wealthy family, the fragility and the chaos of a teenager, even a normal-good student, from a wealthy family, with normal friends, etc.

Divergent. It was pretty good, though the plot was drawn out to the point where you only really needed to watch the last half hour of the movie.

I saw Frozen the other day. Meh... didn't quite enjoy it. I don't really mind animated movies with constant singing, but the songs kinda too.. I don't know how to describe it. IMO, it just doesn't fit well with the setting/environment of the movie. Or, probably I'm just too old to watch cartoons. Hah!
