whats the last movie you watched
Finally saw Star Wars The Force Awakens. I thought it was great but left the theaters thinking it was missing something. We also binge watched all the Harry Potter movies in 2 nights since I had never watched any of them. They were great! Opening my mind to movies that don't have car chases and wrecks!
I can EXPLAIN it to you but I can't UNDERSTAND it for you

976 evil - one of my favourite cheesy horrors from the 80's ..directed by Robert Englund (Freddie) full of 80s synth and staring Stephen Geoffrey's who was in Fright Night...went onto star in gay porn which I haven't found yet ..

Shocker from 1989 - also watched this Gem staring Mitch Pileggi of Xfiles fame, never get bored of this movie

Its a documentary about an American raised Indian guy going through the process of a more traditional arranged marriage and struggling with family and identity. It was pretty interesting.

I watched the film Tsotsi at a friends house last night. It was certainly an eye opener, and some of it was quite touching, but the ending seemed a little abrupt and left the story unfinished IMO. Not a bad film overall though Smile

Lucy with Scarlett Johanssen. It was ok, frequently interesting, but didn't live up to all the ideas it presented.

Scarlett Johanssen was great, though. She sort of fascinates me. I like the roles she chooses, always a little offbeat.

If I were straight I'd be completely obsessed with her.

Star Wars - force awakens , today at cinema - was ok but not life changing, repeated viewing my endear it to my heart a little more - Carrie Fisher as not aged well bless her , she looked a like a potato that has been left on a window sill

I went to see two movies yesterday with my assistant.
First we enjoyed CAROL, which I thoroughly recommend to whomever can watch an old-fashioned Lesbian story. A very moving and beautifully rendered story by Patricia Highsmith, with two golden roles for Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara. Wonderful roles, wonderful feelings and beautifully recreated 1950s America.

The following film, The Big Short, was a totally different kettle of fish, but with no lesser stars than Brad Pitt, Steve Carell, Christian Bale (particularly liked the way he played that role, verging on autism) ad the ever lovely Ryan Gosling (although his hairdo made him look more Italianate than I am used to). A bunch of clever men make a fortune in the 2008 collapse of the housing market. It's clever and almost managed to teach us how it as all done.
