Confuse about life
#1
Hi all!
I'm newbie here, as you knew, and i'm 24 years old, pretty old for living by myself but, i really confuse about my life right now, and i don't know what to do for my future.
I graduated university here, in Viet Nam, and for usual, i must go to get some job relate to what i learnt in school, but i don't have any interest in that, and i feel after time in school, i lost. I lost all passion in life, so i enjoy to find it in tv shows, such as AI, Xfactor,... and also find in tv comedy series or drama series. And it cost me a lot of time that i can't do anything else. And because i lost passion in real life, so I can't give so much care to people i love, and i can't communicate with social, and so that i really scare.
For next recent time, i want to do some thing that i really love, but for some condition to do that job, i'm not qualified, and i don't have courage to do it, but i really really dream about it, and want to do it at least 1 time in my life.
So i really appreciate anybody can help me with some advice, and it's the best if i can talk with some one, so here is my Y!M: me_imow. Thanks everybody in advance and best wishes.

your only on this earth once so try to make choices that will make u happy - you can always go back and use your university education subjects to get a job later if you need,, but for now if you want to try TV or any career u love then go for it,,,,if your happy in yourself then you will be able to give that love back to your family and loved ones

I'm going through a lot of the same issues as you, epuxeka. I was going to a university for three years as I was "supposed to," but it ended up just making me depressed (it also sounds like you're showing some depressive tendencies, and on that note, I would suggest talking to a therapist or a medical doctor if you're able) and anhedonic. At the end of this past Spring semester, I decided not to continue with going to a university for a plethora of reasons (hypocrisy in the education system, my mental health, finances, etc.) and have started to rebound and figure out "life is good" and it can be enjoyable as long as you seek out what you find pleasurable. I found in my experience that I also watched a LOT of television while I was depressed because as you said, I was looking for passion in life - or at least a way to pass the time.

While I was browsing online a couple of months ago, I came across the site stevepavlina dot com, and found a lot of useful, motivational articles and podcasts that really helped me a lot. I'd strongly recommend checking the site out. On top of this, regular exercise (even 10 minutes a day is better than nothing), eating better, drinking more water, etc. helped me a lot. Meditation also helps! And meditation can come in many different forms - focused concentration, yoga, needlework, sports, etc. Essentially any activity where you can, in a sense, "turn your mind off" can be considered meditation.

Also, I love what matty7 said and agree for the most part. The only thing I'd argue is that no one can say with absolute certainty that we're only on this planet once. However, I'd say that living "as if" you're only here once is the key to real happiness! Smile

Hopefully this post will help you some.

Good luck, and take care!

Perhaps you'll have to accept a job that isn't the best fit ideally - but don't take it if you'll absolutely hate it, no one deserves to be miserable. But even if you take one, don't give up your dream. Use money from your current job to study for your passion, or something like that. Sometimes we just try to make it through and do the best we can, because we hope for something better. Good luck
