I agree with the other comments generally, but I don't agree with generalizing. Give them a shot and if they don't work out then move on. Just because other's have have bad luck with thes e sites doesn't mean you will; after all, nothing ventured nothing gained.
On a side not, my boyfriend of 8 months and I met on A4A, so it can't be all bad
