A new dream thread.
LateBloomer Wrote:Glad to hear this part struck a chord with you. Definitely sounds like you're being pulled in 20 different directions maybe.

Ok, this is cool. For me, water is a very powerful symbol because it can change "states" (vapor/steam --> liquid/water --> solid/ice). All this is happening in an "unfinished" room, so I'm feeling LOTS of changes (physically with the structure and chemically with the water).

Again, there's a lot of ambiguity here. I'm just guessing that's a reflection of your waking life. I hope things get a little more focused for you in the future if that's what you'd like.

Your comments were helpful for me to understand your dream better. One thing I forgot to mention was the three floors of the office/living space. The Number Three is a very powerful number. There's a ton of stuff associated with it so it might help me to narrow things down if you could think of a reason why the building was three floors.

Some ideas about The Number Three:

--Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)
--Great Triad (Man, Earth, God)
--Time: Past, Present, Future
--Universe: Earth, Atmosphere, Sky
--Three Wise Men visited Christ
--Christ was King, Priest, Prophet
--Virtues: Faith, Hope, Charity
--Greek mythology, 3 Brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Lords of Earth/Heaven, Sea and the Underworld respectively
--Simplest graphic form: triangle
--Every action requires a subject, verb and object

The building is not 3 floor it is 3 floors within a build if that help and I don't have a clue how many floors are in this building.

Oooh.

That helps me, I guess.

Listen, I've always said I'm no expert; I just do this in my free time for fun, so what do I know? Right?

But, GENERALLY, when things are in great numbers in your dreams, that's a negative connotation. Things like: herds of animals, large groups of people, swarms of insects, flocks of birds....it's all just too much.

This dream seems to have some very large numbers, 20 guys and a building with many, many floors that don't seem to be appropriate for working OR living....

Just giving my honest impressions. I could be totally wrong. It's more important what YOU think about YOUR dream. I'm just trying to give ideas and learn from other people's dreams.

I think what was interesting was the fact that each space was different in its creation and the uses of colors and texture and lights made it all so inviting. But I wish the dreams that I really like is when I'm flying I feel so free then, but I have not had that kind of dream in such a long time now. So this on was kind of different but warm if you know what I mean.

If you felt it was "inviting" then it can't be all bad.

Glad you're branching out into different dreams.
Best of luck with everything, gotta try for a dream for myself now.

Ciao.

LateBloomer Wrote:So, as I said above: the rabbit is nocturnal (and therefore associated with the moon). You don't know if it's a pet or not, but you did hollow out a living space for it at first, and then later it actually has its own "house" (sort of).

Could this be another version of those dreams where you admire the work being done on the house of someone else? Except this time, you weren't watching, you actually did the work yourself. In real life, do you have pets? Desire pets? Maybe you're searching for something "nocturnal", kind of cool and passive, like you? Perhaps?

As for the Christmas lights, I'm totally stumped.

Except, if I stick with the home improvement theme we've been talking about, it might be a stretch to say that you working on hanging lights on your house is an improvement, in a way (???).

The fact there is a glitch in the wiring is troublesome, but I find the contrast between the heat of the wiring and the "cool" symbolism of the rabbit interesting.

You can take care of "cool",
But problems cause "heat".

I don't know!!! I'm just thinking out loud. What do you think?

One interesting note.. all the rabbits I see around here aren't nocturnal, they're out during the day and dissappear once it gets dark. The dream one was sometimes in its house, sometimes out (but was awake when in) & it was daytime
The dream didn't "say" if I made that first home, or if the rabbit itself did the digging...but yep the second one I did do Smile
If fishtanks count, then I do have pets LOL...really the only type of pets I wish to own Smile
But mentioning pets you did make of something - my sister did have a pet rabbit once (this one lived in a cage inside the house)

I've like to look at new construction/work being done on houses/buildings (even if its just looking at it when riding in the car)

--

In a way lights could be considered an improvement (even if just a temporay thing) Smile so maybe since I was takeing down Xmas stuff (in real life) the weekend before, thats a un-improvement LOL

Also there's some more I remembered on this dream ... The 'modifications' I did in the dream were supposed to be an improvement, but I mis-calculated values so the voltages/currents were wrong (too high) thus it was overheating & not working quite right...
A couple things to think on:
(at the moment I can't remember anything at home or work that I've mis-judged recently)
(I did buy some new lights in the after-xmas clearances this season, and thought about doing a little change on a few of them ... maybe the dream was saying "use caution" LOL I don't know)

Hmm, you know, sometimes I just have "work" dreams that seem like my head trying to get itself organized.

Nothing terribly symbolic in my "work" dreams...

Maybe this was one of those "get organized" dreams.

Dunno!

Ok I had a really odd dream the other night, and I know it has some meaning to it but I can't put my finger on it. But you need the back story first, really quick anyways.

I had a straght guy crush I thought I would never get over. Then I didn't think about him for months. I broke the crush! Then this damn dream happened and I can't get him out of my head again and I haven't even seen or talked to him since June.

So in the dream, I was in a field. The field was divided into 4 sections, one for each season. There were also 4 people running around the field, and someone was trying to kill them. My job was to save them, by somehow getting them into the back of a moving white convertable driven by and old man in a white tux.

I remember I was running through the autumn section and there were all these half dead sunflowers and when I got to the otherside I was in the winter field and there was this big dune of snow. I kept calling out to people to try to get them to the white convertable. Running and calling, over and over until I had saved all the ones that I could save.

Then it was my turn and I remember taking a running jump and landing in the passengers seat. And who turns out to be one of the people I saved, but my crush, sitting in the back seat with a big relieved smile on his face.

That was the end. There's a whole lot of meaning tucked in that dream. My initial thoughts being "I can spend my whole life chasing this guy and just end up old and alone." type deal, but I honestly hadn't thought about this guy in months, and since this dream he's been on my mind ever since. So maybe my sub-conscious just likes to watch me twist in the wind. It just really sucks that a dream brought all this back on me when I felt I had finally got away from it.

Awesome dream, thanks.

I'd like to mull this one over a little bit.

First impressions: LOVE the field with four seasons. Also like how the guy ended up in the back seat and you're in front. You may not be driving the car, but you're definitely IN CONTROL and SUPERIOR. He's just along for the ride.

I know the dream bugs you, but it feels like "if you love something set it free". Except in this case you "saved" the subject of your love (so to speak)....

...hmm...just thinking out loud...
...on second thought....maybe that's not so good...

Maybe in this dream you're saving him, sort of corralling him into the car where you and the old guy (an older version of yourself?) take him for a ride....

???

I don't know, I'm just throwing this stuff out there. Let me know if any of it rings a bell.

Well that's what I thought at first too. The old guy is me, wasting seasons chasing a guy I can't have. But the Old man didn't remind me of anyone, just a generic old man. Plus I wouldn't be caught dead in a white Tux. Plus I don't consider myself chasing him anymore. He was out of my mind, and then the dream brought him back.

So in the end I have no idea. I kind of got the impression the old man was sort of like an auto pilot, but I had no control where he was going, just that I had to do all the work to save everyone before we were all killed.

It could mean a lot of different things, but It's been on my mind constantly since it happened, mainly my crush has. Him and that damn smile of his =/

Ok, first of all, it doesn't matter if you'd never wear a white tux in real life. This is NOT real life. This is your subconscious.

So maybe we can work with the idea that the older guy is another older version of you, carting you and this guy around after passing through various seasons, and an attempt to kill him off.

Yeah...
Smile

Even though this guy should have been "knocked off" (killed) you saved him, and now you're older but still carrying him around in the back.

I like that interpretation so far. What do you think?
