Circumcision Preference

iPromise Wrote:Restoration? You mean guys who were cut can be restored back to uncut? (EK!)

I wouldnt say restored back to uncut, but a perfectly passable(and fun Wink) replacement can be grown yes. Cool

I'm about half way done. Smile

I'm familiar with the circumstitions site, and many others. One out of every 77 neonatal deaths in the United States is as a result of circ complications. In 2010 more American babies died from circ complications than from SIDS/cot death. In 2010 more American babies died from circ complications than died in auto accidents.

I could go on but I don't want to turn this into a thread rallying against RIC. Smile

OMG ugh, I don't know why but after reading

I became angry, gosh. I'm not against nor am I for circumcisions, my baby nephew was circumcised and his mother did it because of her own reason. Now I sorta wished I could have spoke up for him (though I couldn't I was not there).

But after reading those articles I think of my baby nephew and am so thankful he isn't one of those unfortunate story.

If you can't do the job right then you should not do it at all, I don't know if I could ever be a doctor, I'll be dying inside my whole life if a patient suffered because of me.

But that's interesting to know, I didn't know you could grow back those lost parts down there.

Yup, it makes me angry too.

It's not about doing the job right, its about the owner of the equipment being able to choose whether or not the job is done in the first place Smile If someone chooses to get cut, fine, more power to em, but babies weewee's should be off limits unless there is a true medical need.

To be 100% clear, there are parts of the foreskin which are lost to circumcision which cannot be regrown, such as the ridged band, and if removed, the frenulum. All I(and many others) are doing is expanding the inner and outer skin we were left with. I was lucky enough to keep my frenulum.

That said, try restoring, you might like it Wink

I'm wondering if this is a product of just finding the opposite type of penis interesting or if there is a objective beauty in uncircumcised penises.

Personally I don't care two hoots about the appearance of the penis, whether hooded or not. What I am concerned about is whether the men who sport a circumcised penis were given the choice to keep their foreskins or not... That's what really really matters. No child should have his penis amputated of a vital part of his body without his consent. If we're going to go against mutilation for women's genital parts, then we've got to afford men to own their own bodies too.

John Wrote:I'm cut and being forced by my mom. Sigh! It's because my family felt that my penis was too small and thus they sent me to a clinic..well, yeah, i'm cut now..and yet, it's still the same..sigh. i was too young at that time..and i'm not sure if the operation stopped the growth or naturally i was born with small penis! Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John, I don't think circumcision had any influence on the size of your penis. As long as its functional, you shouldn't worry about it... If it can give you pleasure and procreate (if necessary) then it's a good penis... Mind you take good care of it. Confusedmile:

blokeinsussex Wrote:You'd be surprised. On the restoring site I moderate many guys report a gain of anywhere between 0.5-1.5 inches during restoration. If you think about it, the corpus cavernosa expands to fill the shaft/foreskin. If too much skin taken it cannot fully extend.

I gained 0.75" myself in my first year of restoration which I was rather happy with

But yeah, there is no scientific study as far as I am aware into the average size of cut at birth vs uncut. My reports are purely anecdotal but would in my view merit more investigation Confusedmile:

Lots of guys with curvature(not full peyronies I should add) also report that their dick straightens out somewhat or indeed totally during the restoration process.
Are you saying that by leaving the foreskin on, a guy can grow bigger, by sheer existence of extra skin to expand the spongy tissue in? In which case, surely that would be a case for NOT circumcising men randomly.

Ok, got your point, but then you shouldn't have to have restoration because your foreskin was stolen from you at birth...

Basically yes. Think about the anatomy of the intact penis vs circumcised. the spongy tissue which makes up the body of the penis expands into the skin tube which comprises the shaft and foreskin of an intact male.

If you limit the size of the skin tube through circ, then feasibly the amount the spongy tissue can expand may be limited and therefore a guys size may be limited by this.

I'm certainly not asserting that EVERY cut guy has lost length, but it's possible and theres enough anecdotal evidence amongst the thousands of members of the restoring site to suggest that circ can in some cases limit a mans size.

Thanks for this information Bloke, it just proves that there would be an extra point in not committing the irreparable. Confusedmile: Anyway, how DARE they? How very DARE they???

Yes, indeed how dare they, but its easy to get caught up in the anger and not advisable. Let it out sure but do not let it rule you Smile

Thankfully the anger has waned for me as my restoration has progressed. Soon enough I'll be intact for all intents and purposes Wink
