We can't have a disco thread without DONNA SUMMER (sorry East)
I REMEMBER YESTERDAY (1977) This had all of London abuzz, I remember, that summer you'd hear it everywhere in the shops of Oxford Street and in Picadilly Circus etc... at the time. It was a thrilling time to be twenty... Confusedmile::tongue::biggrin:

Remember that this music came out of Munich, where Donna had married Mr Sommer, who made her into the diva she was with LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY.

Good choices with the Whispers and George Benson PA...Donna Summer? We burned her recrods in a big bonfire and it was forbidden to play her music because of what she said about Gay Men and AIDS (It was Gods Punishment to us for our sins and we deserved to die) when she became a born again Christian...she says now she didn't say it but she did.

Here is the Queen of Disco...

Gloria Gaynor...Never Can Say Goodbye

Patti LaBelle...Stir It Up

..and the girls from Oakland...Homies LOL The Pointer Sisters who I put on the C&W thread

The Grammy Medley

My favorite "fun" disco song from the often underrated Dame Shirley Bassey (Love Her)

Some Opera Disco from Deborah Sasson...I love to play this when we got our new sound system at the club...

Danger In Her Eyes (from Carmen)

This one always got stuck in my head for hours LOL (Listen with caution)

Crystal Waters....Gypsy Woman

To err is human. I'll forgive her if she takes it back... What a stupid thing to say anyway!!! God certainly didn't enlighten her on that occasion.

Gloria, Queen of Disco, got to agree and her anthem I WILL SURVIVE...
