My aunt lives in the Denver area, and when I was there at the end of the last month there was a pretty major fire going on (about May 27th/28th.) Is the one you posted pictures of the same one?

If so, that's horrible.

Texas had some horrible fires last year as well. Bastrop was almost completely destroyed.

there are two fires going on now, one near New Mexico and another west of Fort Collins, called the High Park fire. This is the one that effects the weather here. The High Park fire has been going on for a few weeks but the recent wind and hot weather has made it grow. I tried to find the start date but couldnt, it started by lightning the state boarder Dont think it was the same one you felt

my impression the fire is active along the Poudre Canyon road that start is Fort Collins and heads west, but the fire area is much larger.

I hate fires. I wish there were a more effective way to fight them.

Strangely May has been the best month for years, So far June has been nothing more then gray, dull and rain. Although I am not complaining, I dislike heat... I really need to buy new summer wear and I really really hate buying clothes... Everything in the store looks like shit, is over priced or doesn't come in my size . Perhaps I should just move to Godthåb (Nuuk in Inuit, might be the official name as well) :biggrin:
