Straight people haven't been surpressed like gay people have. When a group of people are surpressed it seems only logical that they may try and go the extreme opposite way in one way or another.

Couple that with the fact that a lot of gay people like to make a song and dance lol

I don't know what to do about Gay Pride. Last year, I wasn't even sure I was bisexual. Now I have a boyfriend, gay friends, all my friends know, etc. and it's New York City so there's an accordingly large Parade. What am I supposed to do?

Upto you person 66.. If you feel that you want to go to a event which celebratesd the diversity within the gay scene then please do go... It might be worth going once and seeing if it is for you or not... For me it isnt because i find it very clastrophobic but i guess some people enjoy it more..

Heh noone, still dancing in the closet... Snail steps does it .
Sometimes you need a bit of chaos in your life to be able to shrug off pitiful disdain about something meaningless.

Talked to my friend about what the pride is like near where I live and he said its just a bunch of guys being total whores, drinking and doing ecstasy and poppers so I don't think I'll be attending lol

i've always wanted to go. but i'm waiting for a special someone to show up and give me the coruage to go to one of these events. i feel so chicken and cold going to a parade alone.
