You do realize that I am still an ordained minster and I could be the one preaching the bible here on a daily basis...

In all honesty I refrain from bringing Jesus, God and the bible to many of my posts.

But if you want I can start doing a daily sermon on every posts...

Hey Jeff- Like some of the other responders, I'm curious about your motivation. Not suspicious -- just curious. Any thoughtful, respectful contribution to discussion is welcome, as far as I'm concerned. Those who are disturbed by christianity, or religion in general, will hopefully ignore the thread.

I don't think all christians are terrible, but simply misguided.

G Day Jeff and welcome to Gayspeak.

I'm agnost and to be completely honest with you I have never ever had a problem with any Christian, everyones faith is their own.

As for bad Christians, yeah there are soem of them out there, as there are bad people, but like I said I have never had a problem with them...they may have a problem with me but that is no skin off my nose and my care factor would go into the negatives Wink

To borrow from my last post:
This thread's rather depressing all in all.

I understand us gay folk get bible bashed a lot; but we really shouldn't welcome what seems like a genuine member with such...passive aggression I guess would be the right phrase?(I'm not talking about all the posts in this thread.)

Welcome ReasonableJeff.Confusedmile:
Your intro reminds me of how I joined a Christian Forum over a year ago mainly to clear up misconceptions on gays, liberals and atheists.
I still post there daily...which is more than what I can say for here.

Hey hey, wut up?!

I used to go to chuch and all with my bff when I was back home, but honestly, I only went cause he went and he was happy there. He knew I didnt like going, but I liked going cause it made him happy and it made me happy that he was happy and his faith meant a lot to him. It's a big reason why I like him, although I'm not religious, i tend to have some relatively strict morals compared to the majority, and his faith felt the same way in a lot of ways. Even still, i'd never have a problem with his religion, if it adds to who he is, i'm fine with it cause i love him for who he is.

Religion is complicated and I believe should stick to the singular and not try to force its way into the plural. People don't know what other people need, or want for that matter, no matter whether its the truth or not. Some people are better off.

End rant!

So welcome mister! Hope your adventures here grant you happiness and such and blah blah blah im bored of typing lol. Big Grin
