Finally your starting to get it. Right answer.
But in the meantime you need to be very careful that you don't put yourself in any kind of a compromising situation with him.
The 1-2-1 tuition you mentioned earlier is a car crash waiting to happen. 15 year olds and testosterone fuelled emotions don't take or listen to advice easily. You need to remove yourself completely from any possible situation that could be misconstrued by anyone else who may raise concerns.
The UK teaching profession are trained to report any sign of inappropriate pupil - teacher relationship after a number of very public scandals. Even the merest hint of anything between you can bring dire consequences - for both of you.
Emotions can be horrible at times and difficult to control, but in this instance you know what needs to be done.

Yeah, I know.
The whole school knows he is in love with me. I had a headmaster coming over to me and saying that if it makes me feel uncomfortable, he will talk to this student. But I told him it was fine. Probably, I should have said it earlier, it might be an important detail.

I've got a post in moderation, probably because I used the F word, in a good way you understand. When/if it does appear ignore it. My views have changed.
The whole school does not know he's in love with you, you imagine that. It's very good of you to spare the boy a word of advice from someone who might be able to talk some sense to the child.
You were presented with a non-judgmental, fairly easy way to put a stop to this and you declined because You'll be fine. At the very least it would have provided a mechanism to put it on hold. But I am at least relieved to hear that you'll be fine [insert bitter irony smiley if there is one].
I'm afraid my sympathy has evaporated and I'm angry enough at your withholding crucial information to get very judgmental indeed. However, I've wasted enough words here, I'm done.

Wow this thread escalated quickly...
Afterall... DO YOU KNOW HOW HE FEELS? It's never good just to assume it, but to, if it is meant let some years go. After all he's just a kid, he is in his puberty, there is a lot of things going on till he reaches adulthood. it might just be a fling caused by hormones or some. Would you eat a tomato before it's even ripe?
Sometimes you need a bit of chaos in your life to be able to shrug off pitiful disdain about something meaningless.

Well, that's interesting. Had the headmaster any advice for you how he wanted you to approach it?

You might think I am a bad man, but I was only looking out for him. He is already struggling with his feelings, and he doesn't need to get hurt even more. He may be 15, but he is not stupid, he perfectly knows everything that the principal might have said to him. That I am way older and I am his teacher, and if he would tell him that his attention makes me feel uncomfortable, just imagine what would happen to him. He is sensitive at this age and suffering from unrequited love is better than from feeling himself unwanted.

You don't seem to be accepting anyone's advice which makes me think you didn't come here for advice, you're just looking for approval. I'll just flat out say that dating this KID is stupid and wrong, but I'll bet good money you're gonna go ahead and do it anyway.

No, not really. He just said that if it bothers me, the kid is in trouble. Obviously, I didn't want it.

No warning? On the other hand he may not know you are gay, so he can't even imagine that you would like to do anything.
You know, wait until he is 16 - maybe he will fall in love with someone else during that time. Continue with the private lessons you were assigned to. And then you will see.
If you two are still in love at that time, you can quit the job and find another at different school.

Alex, you seem pretty set on doing this. Now I in no way approve but, the law there says 16 is the age of consent, so since we aren't going to stop you be friends with him for a few more months, until he is 16, then date him and, if sex happens at least he will be legal.
Does nothing for the potential head trip for the kid but, it's pretty obvious we aren't going to talk you out of finding out if he's the one so, at least make it legal would you?
