Dating guys where you are unsure of their sexuality is always fraught with potential difficulties, however in your case and from what you've posted so far, it would seem that neither are longterm friends, so in this case I would say that you really have nothing to loose
Do you have any indicators on your FB profile that you're gay (I mean like "liking" gay bars, clubs, or Pride events etc?) You know something, that if someone was interested they would recognise the signs.
Do you have anything in common with either of the guys? interests, hobbies, classes etc? Basically something that gives you the opportunity to strike up a conversation and a bit of socialising without it suddenly coming from nowhere? That then gives you the chance to sound them out a little, or even see if they want to go for a drink/coffee/latest movie etc.
Worst thing that can happen is neither are interested and you don't talk to them much again, which doesn't seem much different to whats happening now.
Or you could make a really good friend for the rest of your time at Uni, and longer
