I'm fine with being an eternal uncle. I have two siblings with kids, and another sibling I suspect will have a kid before he's 25. Plenty of babysitting opportunity to get a preview of having a kid.

If they don't cry, whine, repeatedly ask or say the same thing, don't break anything and, obey when told what to do and not to do the first time, so I don't have to repeat myself and, keep the volume down at all times indoors then sure, kids are fine.

The problem is I have yet to meet one that does as they should in my book so, they are barely tolerable for short periods of time and, I would not want to raise another one - made it with my daughter and, by age 4 she knew the rules and, opted to follow them rather than not be able to spend summers with me.

I do enjoy the positive bright energy that little children brings whenever they comes into a room. However, I am not very fond of kids being, well, kids. Ruckus, noise, smashing antiques, all are not exactly what I would be fond of as having in my house.
I do want children, I would love to have something to focus on when I'm done with my career. However, if I were to have children, I think I will raise them quite strictly. Don't do this, don't do that, it's gonna be like a catchphrase, rolling off the tongue. My kids will be perfect, well-mannered, well-nurtured, well-crafted, and well-educated even from a young age. That way, I get to have kids without having to deal with kids. Wink yeah!

excellent!!
a person that is not afraid to man up to exactly how they feel and admit its not for everyone. More good if a few more of the straights would also be able to accept this as well

it dosnt say much for the individual who can attest their most cherished family member is someone that shits and drools uncontrollably.
or
their loving off spring the product of tortured dna, after 16years of instruction in a loving empathetic house is hell bent on:
becoming pregnant and or hiv infected
geting a dui and or trashing the family fossil fuel burner.

Kids are fine until I'm the only thing standing between them and their getting themselves maimed and/or killed. Or if they start thinking that they know things.

The only question I have when it comes to children is do I should serve them with potatoes or stuffing?

I don't find them cute, I do not find them adorable. Most actually are frightfully ugly.

If was on me to have to procreate to keep humanity going as a species I fear that humanity would be as extinct as the dinosaur.

I hear my biological clock tick once. Just once. It was the second most horrifying sound I ever heard. Thankfully it was only a momentary lapse and a truckload of alcohol cured that.

Woe be unto that child if I ever did decide to be a parent, woe be unto the world when that literal spawn of Satan grew up to take over the world.

Well mostly I don't like being with children because I prefer the quiet of myself. Of course, there are a few exeptions, like my little cousin that I do really love and enjoy playing with.
In general I don't really hate them, I could say I jus don't like their making noise all the time and doing... like little kids!!! (good one huh? :tongueSmile

BUT... there is one little exeption to all of this.... a little demon that once threw a fork at my face, thankfully I was quick enough to guard, and then looked happily at the knife...

I could never imagine not having children in my life having them or other wise.
I've volunteered at Boy's and Girl's club for the past 7 years i started when i was like 11 or 12 and i could never imagine my life without that experience.
And children is a must for the future I've wanted kids since i was in high school
