How are you today?
I deeply regret for bursting out on the subject above. Whilst the problem does bother me, I should have kept it to myself. Sigh, I don't know.

The current 2011-2012 batch consists mostly new staff with several seniors. I am one of the seniors. Most old staff have resigned on 2011.

With the exception on punctuality, the new staff are top notch. They don't mind going home late and stay in the office until midnight to settle their works. They work well each other. They help each other. They are quite a huge contrast to the old batch.

The worst punctuality comes from one of the seniors. She was from the old batch (One month senior than me). She resigned on 2010 but returned to our company few months ago (Because she can't decide what to do with her career). I really love her as a friend. She's also a hard worker but holy, punctuality is not in her book. She was the one who came 1 hour late today.

Our company, okay ... Malaysia's branch is different from the other branches. We are very family oriented. Our boss allows us to work in a relaxing environment. You can cook in the office. You can eat anytime in the office. You can chat with the other colleagues anytime. And more. But on one condition. When you work, you work hard. You give 500%. I had to go through 5 phases of interviews just to get this job on the first place.

Unfortunately it's easy to take this whole 'freedom' for granted. Hence why problem with punctuality comes into place.

I honestly don't like to talk such thing above. I don't like to talk about other people behind their backs. But it bothers me because some of them exploited my characteristics.

So to straighten things out, the new staff are basically fine. I love them as friends and colleagues. They work hard. It's just punctuality is not sealed properly in their books. Yet. I can't entirely blame them as they were influenced by the old staff and senior.

P.S: I have discussed the matter above with one of my managers and another colleague (my junior). I think we have found a solution to this problem.

it never fails, someone hears I have the day off and suddenly they have this big project that only I can help them with, then if I say no then its "why not you're not doing anything you don't have any plans","with out my money (given to them from my grandfathers life insurance) you wouldn't have a toilet to piss in". then when I have a pissed look on my face all week they are puzzled on why I look so down.:mad:Ak

Feeling much better today. Anxious about hearing back from my job interview yesterday. Hoping like hell I get the position. Tired of feeling like a bum doing nothing.

I feel great because my practice exams are over. Then I got a bit worried because mum said she wasn't feeling very well. Then I watched a show called 'Here comes honey boo boo" and now I'm happy again. o_O It's so funny yet so inappropriate.

It's little consolation but you're teaching more than just yourself a good lesson about it right here on GS!
