Today was a good day. My best friend woke me up early this morning, wanting someone to talk to. I talked to him for a few hours. He went to work so I continued texting him and decided that I should probably get out. I found a toys r us not to far away. It was awesome. I bought some japanese toys for previously stated friend and some stuff for ym sister. I'm kinda upset cause i ran out of money and wasnt able to buy myself anything, but it's alright cause i bought stuff for the peeps I love. grabbed some curry and headed home and waited around for my friend to get out of work. Once he got home we played some xbox and talked for a few hours. And now i'm here. It was a lovely day.

I talked to my mom about my friend. I brought him up saying that I had a package to send him as well as my sis and she asked about my friend. For some reason she wanted to know about him, about us. I've told her some things about him, but she never really cared to bother about what went on between us. But today she wanted to know. I told her how we met some 7 1/2 years ago, how we came to be best friends, and she wanted to know how he was towards me. I was honest with her, i told her about our differences, our problems and how we worked though them. She asked what i thought about him. I straight up said "I love [friend's name] very much and i'm happy to have him." I highly doubt she expected anything. She only replied with "Well, I'm happy you have a good friend and are happy." and we talked a bit more.

I came out to a coworker today. It didn't blossom but at least I made a first step. I hope it's true what they say, that the first step is the hardest.

Well I like the guy and I was hoping he would reciprocate. If you have the time read the Missed Opportunity thread in the Relationships section for some background.

Otherwise here's the condensed version. I"m deep in the closet and none of my current friends and family know I'm gay. I like a guy at work but we don't talk much. When we finally got to talk he made some great pro-homosexual comments but I didn't let him know I was gay and I've been hating myself for it over the last few days. Today I let him know I'm gay and was wondering if he wanted to hang out. He says hanging out would be cool but he's not gay.

At least I'm not hating myself now and I know an intimate relationship isn't going to happen. Younger me would never have said anything and always wondered.

Ah, I see. I remember reading your thread. You shouldn't have to force out the fact that you are gay. If you want to tell people, like said co-worker, and you feel it's right, then cool. I respect you more for stepping out a little and confronting someone you like. I'd never be able to do that.

But you're in no special situation. Just keep in mind that being gay isn't automatically something that will make you right for each other. I'm not saying you don't know this already, but just saying. I find that a lot of people talk about hoping other people are gay just so they have a chance when truth is that even if they were, it's still all about chemistry.

Anywho, friends are always awesome to have. Be happy he wants to hang out with you. Every single person I work with would ignore me and push me away if they found out I just so happened to be attracted to the same gender. If he's not gay, oh well, odds are you'd prolly end up as "just friends" anyways. No need to get upset cause this didnt turn out to be a romantic love story. Be grateful someone is willing to be your friend.

Hope your future endeavors on this matter improve. I do hope you'll run into someone some day that'll make you happy. Baby steps I guess.

The highlight of my day was changing my computer's desktop background from a picture of a human skull evolutionary lineup to a picture of Mars. Either that or finding a gas station that took my Gulf gift card.

I would be feeling better if my truck wasnt in the shop again. And been in the shop every weekend for the past three months!

I hate not being able to afford a new vehicle....it sucks up all my extra money, which isnt much.

Iffy. On Skyrim I had a level 34 Breton battlemage, I was the dean of the arcane university, sold my soul to three deadric princes including Nocturnal and was the head of the thieves guild, and I was just appointed the speaker of the black hand in the dark brotherhood, and I had a gay marriage (yes, a sandbox game of an iron age magical culture has gay marriage) and lived in a palatial mansion, but for some reason I can't remember I deleted that character, I think because I was playing on apprentice and used a cheat code to get the gold to buy that mansion and I wanted to start over on adept level, and I'm starting to miss my gay AI marriage. Well, not really, but, life in between semesters for me is just, boring. Thankfully my Internship program has agreed to let me work in Feb break and Spring break.
