It's cold and raining here in Sydney today... it's winter and I love it

Hello to you all.

Yesterday I spent 5 hours editing this Friday's podcast and today I'm chilling out (sic). Don't think I'll do any vacuuming though.

When you guys mention "hoovering" do you mean as in J Edgar? Is there a transvestite think going on there? LOL Laugh1

It is 1.30am on thursday morning. I have been home from work for half an hour. And I am DEAD and ready for my bed *stares wantingly at bed*

We had a huge booking of 70 for a company event tonight and they managed to spend about £1600 in all on bowling, food and alcoholic beverages... (just to show, on a normal wednesday we take around £2000 on bowling, £250 in cafe and £1000 on bar = £3250 in total. So for ONE group to come in and spend half of what we take on a normal day... we then took our normal trade plus a bit extra on top... so in all we must've taken a bit more than £5000 tonight... I was running round like a looney... but everything went perfectly. So wooop! I am now going for my well deserved sleep as I will be up at 8.30 to respond to my guy's texts before he starts work bless him.

I'm also a little on the confused side as Ian and I are both off to see KYLIE at the O2 this Sunday...
But I've just logged onto facebook and he has confirmed he will be attending an event - the launch of a new bar... which is this Sunday at 9pm? I.e. the two clash... I'm hoping he meant to click 'not attending' otherwise that would mean he has forgotten... and not being funny but the tickets were kinda expensivo!! Oh and just found out that Jubilee line is suspended North Greenwich to Stratford i.e. we can't get to it by train so we'll have to take replacement bus *doooooh*

Adios amigos, ciao, au revoir, tschau etc. etc. xx

I think you'd better remind Ian super quick about the Kylie tickets... Have fun at her concert. Confusedmile:

Busy day here. Woke up wondering if I was gonna be cutting grass after the wild rain storm we had last nite... decided NOT but needed to do grocery shopping, bill paying at bank and a new script pick-up (federal law = serious narcotics Biggrinflip Biggrinflip ) and a drop off at the pharmacy.

I dont drive so do all this with dad who is in his mid-70s and starting to lose concentration so Me: Dad dont you want to be in the other lane for the bank? Dad as he turns the wheel: Anyone coming? Me: (silent prayers).

During the day learned two things.

The bank that my parents have most of their money in could possibly be nearing serious problems due to the mortgage crisis. Like a Federal take over...

But even worse - WATERMELON SEASON IS NEARLY OVER

the depression is gonna get serious now Cry

Hmmm I did send him a text saying that the Jubilee line is partially suspended all weekend for engineering works so we will need to take the replacement bus but I suggested we could go for a walk along the river and then go eastbound from one of the further west stations. To which he replied "I was planning last night, will tell you later mr". Maybe this event he has confirmed will be something we're doing afterwards since it goes on til 2am... *wonders* Confusedmile:

Awwwwwww babe I know I shouldn't, but you do make me laugh Herz xx.

I hope that your mum and dad's bank is ok though (on a serious note) - want me to send you a watermelon ? We have loads here .

... and baby Smurlos ... I'm sure he won't have forgotten ... *crosses his fingers*.

I'm good today thanks yeah - last night was my dad's 57th Birthday Party which was lovely - two couples from the States are over visiting (his golfing buddies) - one in their 70's, one in their 60's, but spritely as anything and filled with the bubbliness that many of my American friends have (and which sourpuss Jersey locals seem to lack) Rolleyes.

So that was COOL ... took my dad and brother to the harbour this morning as they are taking our American friends to Normandy to visit the landing beaches for the day ... and then either mum or I will pick them up from the harbour later this afternoon ... picked up my best mate and brought him into work and *touch wood* so far, I'm having a pretty perfect day ... green lights all the way .

xx
