January starts pretty rough for me.

I was admitted into a hospital for fourth surgery but was discharged on the next day as my surgeon was ill. I still had to pay the hospital fee.

I was then informed by my surgeon another bad news. He's resigning and will relocate himself to a private hospital in a different state. He's unable to find an empty slot/date (whist he's still around) for my surgery.

So my surgery has been transferred to a different surgeon. The new date hasn't been decided.

I was disappointed as I have been waiting for that surgery for a year. It hurts my heart.

Fast forward few weeks, I was mugged at around 10.20pm whilst waiting for a cab at a bus stop to go home.

The guy's left hand grabbed my chest and he had a knife on his right hand. He shoved the knife behind my neck.

"Give me your phone." He said. I was able to feel the tip of the knife. It punctured my neck.

Surprisingly I didn't panic. I was calmed.

I handed him my Ipod Touch instead of Iphone as it resembles a lot to my Iphone.

"Now I want you to follow me to that building ..." He continued to threat me.

I thought that was too much. I'm still young. This is not how my life should end.

My left hand quickly grabbed his left hand and my right hand grabbed his right wrist. I twisted his arm, wrestled and pushed the guy away. We stood few feet from each other.

"You dare to fight me??? I'm going to call my friends. Hey guys!!!." He started to scream really loud.

Think fast, Jay.

I looked at the guy and then I took a quick glimpse at my gym bag that was still on the bench where I sat. My gym was only few meters away from me. It contains my gym clothes, Iphone, few hundred of dollars (Deposit money from surgery that was given back by the hospital) and my wallet.

Like a lightning, I quickly grabbed my gym bag and went for a full sprint. I headed to the nearest train station.

My neck bled a bit due to the knife but overall, I am fine.

I was hit by a brick and then got hit by another. But I didn't sulk. I always believe in good things. I especially believe that good people will get good things in return.

A lot of good things have happened ever since. Recently I have been approached by two guys at two different places at the same time.

The first guy goes to the same gym. I know him for months but lately we have become really close. I'm not sure if the latest update affects our chance to go further though. I just found out that he is 8 years younger than me. He thought I was around his age. I thought he was around my age. He is a medic student.

I was comfortable to be with him. He is a 6 ft muscle beef. He doesn't mind my previous surgeries and he also knows that I still have few surgeries to go. He doesn't mind seeing my stretch marks. He respects me. He thinks what I have achieved is amazing. I don't mind showing my dorky side to him. I only display my dorky side to the people that I truly trust and comfortable with.

He has a beautiful eyes and smile. I already got a few flak from a few friends. They know that I have been approached by many races but never been by an Indian guy. So they questioned my choice.

I'm sorry but I am color blind. I don't judge a man by his appearance.

The second guy. A new company moved into my office floor mid last year. Few weeks ago, a new guy joined the company. Brown sandy curly clean cut short hair. A mixture of geeky and a stud. He's from New Zealand.

He likes to whistle at me. It's kind of difficult to explain how adorable and cute this guy act. He purposely answered his mobile phone outside his office and stood right outside my office. He then stole few glimpses, smiled and waved at me. My desk is located close to the main glass entrance. So he can see me anytime he wants.

We have introduced ourselves to each other and have become friends. How far will we go? Only time will tell.

There are few other guys but these two are the main guys. Lately I have been asked by guys if I'm still single too.

I'm not in a rush to fall in love but I'm open to any kind of possibility. Despite few surgeries still to go ... I think I'm ready for a relationship. I hope I will end up with a very good man who can accept me as who I am.

As naive as it may sound, good things do come true to good people.

I hate hearing about you guys being mugged or attacked while walking home late at night. and two guys at once, you're so lucky Smile I can't even get one guy to utter one word to me. I don't believe good things happen to all good people but I'm happy it's working out for you, you deserve itSmile

So sorry for you both, but, on the other hand, cheer up, it's the opportunity to go out together again and get a replacement... maybe something different this time?

Ceez, I'm 29 but I still don't have a driving license. I did go to a driving school when I was around 24 years old but I didn't finish it. I think I stopped because I was annoyed by my instructor. I was terrible at changing gears whilst driving uphill. She constantly shrieked at me.

I just learned the purpose of changing gears last week. Was explained by my colleague. My instructor didn't tell me the point of changing gears. I was clueless.

Ceez, chin up my dear friend. You're a very nice guy. If we happened to know each other in reality and live close to each other, I would drag you out for a date in a heartbeat.

Miles, I'm just a regular guy like everyone. But thank you. I didn't expect such praise.

I'm great because I finally found a way to combine bathing and reading by getting a board from my wardrobe and placing it across the tub so it's impossible to accidentally drop the book into the water! c:

And now I'm preparing for a movie night with a friend! Smile

I'm fine today; here the weather is beautiful and currently I'm painting my walls as I move from my appartment this month; I guess my arms will be sore at the end of the day!

I was scolded by my former personal trainer in the gym today. I can't blame him though. I didn't perform alternate dumbbell bicep curl properly today.

"Jay, you're swinging those dumbbells too much. You are doing it wrong from the first set to the last. Those dumbbells are too heavy for you. I suggest you to reduce the weight. By swinging, you do not contract your muscles and basically will gain nothing. You only use momentum on the last few reps." He went lengthy on it.

Oh, boy. I nodded.

I reduced 5kgs from my dumbbells. Then I continued my bicep curl.

"Jay, that's not how I taught you to do bicep curl. What you did can be consider as cheating... If you continue to do it this way, your biceps will not get any bigger." He went on and on.

The gym became quiet. My face turned red.

Another gym member then spoke in. "If it's too difficult to perform the bicep curl, do it this way." He demonstrated a few repetitions of bicep curl at me.

I then mimicked the way he did in front of him. My former personal trainer still stood nearby to observe. "Is this correct?"

"Correct." He nodded.

I was embarrassed but continued to do my bicep curl. "Focus Jay, focus ..." I kept telling myself.

Bicep curl was the last workout for today. I then went to my locker to pack my stuff.

Few seconds later, my 6ft tall personal trainer walked past me to go to the rest room. But in the middle of going to the restroom, he tapped my left shoulder. Gently.

I think he knows that he was quite 'preachy'. I wasn't mad at him. I know it was my mistake to begin with. But yes, I was embarrassed.

When he came out from the restroom, he stopped by at the locker room and told a few jokes to the members who were in the room. I kept myself busy packing my stuff. I didn't say a thing. I know why he made those jokes. He wanted to break the ice with me. But I wasn't able to response. My mind went blank.

He then went back to his office. I went to his office to say goodbye and he replied without turning his head. He was busy surfing his Facebook.

I'm not mad at him. I know my personal trainer is very proud of me due to my history, commitment and passion. He always boasts about me to the professional bodybuilders and other gym members. He sees me as a prime example. He was looking forward to see my next evolution to become a lean muscular man. He trust me very much that he asked me to watch over the gym (He owns it) for a few hours on last Friday because he wanted to see a doctor.

It was necessary for him to nag me as I didn't perform the workout properly. If he didn't utter a word, I probably would continue the wrong method for the rest of my life. But yeah, I was kind of shock with the nag because I haven't been lectured for ages.

So anyway, I have sent him a message to his mobile phone. "Sorry for practicing bicep curl the wrong way. Thanks for correcting it. I appreciate it very much. Thanks!".
