Sad. Upset.
I wanted to buy a birthday cake for my son. It's a national holiday today, and I didn't know the opening hours and was at the shop twenty minutes earlier.
There were about four women inside and one young man (all shop assistants). I didn't knock, but I was about to leave because I couldn't wait for 20 minutes. I would miss my bus if I did.
The man let me in on his own, so that I could buy the cake. I understand it was not a standard thing. But God, those women were nasty to him

So, instead of being happy that the young man wanted to please me, I have been thinking about those women for couple of hours now.

I apologized twice, thanked all of them three times, but it didn't help and it got him into problems
I have been thinking about... I don't know... asking my son to draw a picture for him or something. To show him that being nice to others is a good thing. But I am not sure. What do you think?

He probably already knows he did a good thing, but it's always nice to know how much people appreciate what you do... If your son doesn't bother drawing for him, why not?
