Quite normal. Is he straight? There's nothing more attractive than a gay defending straight guy. Don't you just want to faint gently into his arms as you mutter "my hero?"

Response #2

Quite normal. That's why I employ such an obscene amount of sarcasm in my daily life. I just know that one day all my eye rolling, my condescension, and my shitty passive aggressive nature, that has so far only repelled everyone I like away from me, is going to bring me the man of my dreams. Then it'll all be worthwhile.

It DOES inspire a will of submissiveness I'm not too comfortable with.

Also, hang in there! One day you'll have a relationship so sarcastic that most of your friends will mistake it for abusive. After a few years the lines might start to blur for you as well. But it'll be happy!

I can see it now...

FRIEND: Hey Wade, I'm so happy for you. You two seem to get along great.

ME: Oh yeahh........ everything's just great *eyeroll*

FRIEND: Wait, is everything great? I don't know what you're trying to say.

ME: Yeah of course. It's fantastic. I've never been happier. Whoop dee fucking doo.... *cross arms*

FRIEND: Uh.....

(enter MY BOYFRIEND)

MY BOYFRIEND: No, he's totally serious.... watch. I sooooo love you. No, I really mean it *snicker*

ME: Oh yeah. Me too. Like, you're a really terrific person. *pshhh*

FRIEND: What the hell is going on?

ME: I have no idea.....

(Then I begin openly weeping while my boyfriend mock consoles me, and my friend walks away never to speak to me again.)

Why dream of happiness when large amounts of pessimism and low expectations can turn the most mediocre mediocrity into comparative bliss? ^_^

Had a blow up with my sister today that started over a family member that I honestly do not want coming to the funeral but turned into being about my BF. It got pretty heated for a bit and I probably didn't handle it like I should have. In fact I made an ass of myself, but I was already feeling a little left out of things to start with and what she said just hit me the wrong way. Things are some what better now. At least we're back on speaking terms.

I'm not letting the little things that went wrong today bother me.

Setting here talking to the pastor that is preaching my dads funeral and I realized just how much I am like my daddy. And yet I'm having a hard time bringing up any stories about him to share. Of course he and I had some good times but in a way it's almost like I didn't even know him. I'm so lost right now. Wish I had my sweet boyfriend to just set and hold me but I know he's got to be with his family right now too.

Yesterday, because I got %100 on my theory final, I was offered a job as a theory tutor. That's very good news for me.

However, today I have my last final and a piano audition to be a rehearsal accompanist for the college musicals. I'm feeling quite sick. But in a good healthy way.
