My grand-kids
Imagine.... This photo taken a couple of days ago, in my cottage....

They could have so easily been without their mum right now...

It's not the crime, that's everywhere. BUT the level of violence and complete lack of respect for life that accompanies much of the crime here is what matters, and this wasn't even drug related. It was pre-meditated as she was ambushed when they arrived at work.

Just thankful that the kids where not there & thus spared the trauma of the ordeal.

Quite a sassy lass though, she somehow managed to slip her cell down her butt before she got out of the car, and when they demanded her phone she told them she doesn't have one and offered them an empty box of smokes (apparently left the full one on the seat) "That's all I've got".... Can you believe it, they took that as well...

Non the less her life for what? a empty box, some lunch money and an old phone...

Police? What police! (Station is only 500m up the road)! Took 40 minutes to get there

Wow =( Glad shes alright. Its pretty sad to hear stories like that, going through all that drama for nothing.

That awkward moment where you imitate typical insecure teenage behaviour jokingly, go away for a few days and come back to see people responding to it seriously. I was joking! I'd never lower myself to that form of attention-seeking O_O

Oh don't take me the wrong way, I just thought I made it really obvious, which evidently wasn't the case. So it's my fault not yours. And I wasn't making fun of depression I was making fun of the sort of attention-seeking that is pretty common, at least around teens.

hmm, do you remember why our conversation started in the past?

It's ok, I have problems with being too trusting anyway. Lesson learned Smile

I do. Although I don't see why it's relevant. Besides it kind of stopped abruptly anyways.

But I'm glad we sorted this out.
