How are you today?
The BF and I are having yet another fight! This time over money, or the lack there of. He keeps saying he's unhappy because of the financial situation and started talking about leaving. So I asked him if that's why he cheated on me. He said it was but now he's trying to turn it back on me, like I'm the one who wants him to leave. I'm so pissed right now!

stpdo2's family is here for the weekend to do some fixing around the house. His sister and brother-in-law came late last night and we stayed up pretty late chatting over stuff, his parents arrived probably an hour or two ago and haven't said one direct word to me.

I had no idea adults could behave so much like children.

Have you talked to them? Or are you just waiting to see how long it takes before they engage in conversation?

Sorry to hear that, Archubbycub. Money and sex, two of the most common reasons for not staying together or for arguing. So you can't talk this one out peacefully? Maybe it is best you two parted?

I want to talk it out peacefully but I feel like he's turning all of this back on me. Like it's my fault he cheated on me! Yes, I've made some bad choices financially. I'll take the blame for that. But I absolutely refuse to take the blame for his cheating.

Ok, we talked it out. I just needed some time to cool off. I have to admit, I can get pretty nasty and fight really dirty when I get pissed off. But we both admitted we were in the wrong for that and we've come to the agreement that we want this relationship to work. I feel like we both need to be more open about how we're feeling. I for one will keep everything bottled up inside until something like what happens today happens, and that's not good for me or any relationship I may be in. But like I said, things are back in the right direction.

There's history to it, going back about a month. The short of it is I don't know how I should behave. They are not accustomed to this relationship, and both have expressed opinions I more than wish had been repressed. They are guests in what is now my home, and I am concerned that if the previous opinions still stand, I won't react without malice. I'm still hurt by what they've said before, and so is stpdo2, but he's made his stance decisively clear; he supports my presence, regardless their position.

Anyway, to directly answer, no, and I'm not trying to "outdo" their silence, I honestly didn't think this would be happening this way. I thought they would visit when they were prepared to be sociable.
