How are you today?
Lol2 I AM SUPERMAN Lol2

Mike, the shop owner said the weekly ride is very leisurely and usually has the most basic beginners, racer, and all between BUT LEISURELY.

I wanted to use my silver pista Bianchi but the rear wheel has not been cooperating... used my old faithful Fuji fixie ... I arrive to find 5 lycra clad road cyclists with very expensive bicycles Luxhello Drinka

I made them aware that I was on a single gear and to please keep the hills to a minimum. The leader seemed to understand and we took off.

15 miles into this very intensely paced ride my legs started cramping up severely at the calves. Asked the lead rider if he could suggest anything - "Nope"... Just rode thru the pain...

I was such a mess... but I kept up and even smashed some hills.

Then I realized that I forgot to eat lunch and was doing this ride on two espressos and a baby donut Baby2 then realized that I had just had major surgery a couple weeks ago ***and a new tattoo Luvkiss

Got two blocks from the bike shop on return and my thighs started majorly cramping up... I started pounding my fists into them to work out the pain.

Made it with disbelief. Started apologizing to the riders about slowing them down but they said stop being ridiculous. A couple of them said they had trouble keeping up with me.

We did 30 miles with an average of 15 miles per hour over two non-stop hours. They all loaded up their bicycles in their cars and I rode off to home - totaled three hours on the seat.

We demand a YouTube Rolleyes

PA and I had a young woman visit today. She's going home to New Zealand soon and he promised to show her how to cook some French food. She brought a gift of a HUGE bag of locally grown cherries. How could she possibly know ... sigh!

Well I am home in PA, USA on vacation. Not really a vacation but it's time away from Boston. I just got up at 10 AM in the morning. Now need to get dressed to go out to lunch then watching my niece and nephew (5 and 7) for the rest of the day!!!

I just got home, and I am mentally and physically exhausted...

My grandmother had a stroke on Wednesday, not a really bad one, but it wasn't minor either. My parents took the liberty of not telling me until I got there on Friday. So my mother and I went and spent most of the evening with her on Friday. Luckily, she is not paralyzed, though she does have some motor function difficulty, but the doctors say that should come back 100%.

What was really affected was a part of her brain. She doesn't have any memory loss, which is good, but the part of her brain that controls logic (and in my sense what controls speech, like our internal dictionary) is messed up. She can talk and carry on a conversation, but there are words and names she can't remember, but she knows what they are, but she will say something else and confuse herself. Its really frustrating for her since she likes to talk.

Also, my parents themselves are at a bit of breaking point. My mother is renting a trailer for a few months to get some time away from my father, though it turns out to be a bit of blessing since she will have to spend a lot of time with my grandmother when she comes home since she can't be left by herself for awhile. Anyway, just a lot to take in over the course of two days.

Now I'm just gonna rest for the remainder of the day, and I'm not going to work tomorrow for my own sanity.
