I went shopping at the military base today and at 48 yo, I was referred to as a "boy," specifically "a white boy."

It really wasn't said as a compliment. This time of the year each military commissary (grocery store on a base) has a one weekend case lot sale where they sell stuff in large quantities in cases for very cheap. It draws hundreds of people and it is difficult to get around. My cart was stacked high like Jenga with boxes and I couldn't get down a crowded aisle so I left it at the end and walked to what I needed. After getting what I wanted, not thinking I turned around and put it in a cart that belonged to elderly black women and took off with it. One of them yelled, "Oh lord, that white boy wants to take everything in here for him!"

I think maybe I got too much sleep this weekend, I went to bed at 10:30pm woke up at 3am and have been wide awake ever since. it's 8:46pm now and I decided what the hell, why not have some coffee

Honestly, kind of isolated... it's so hard to make friends when everyone including yourself is busy.

Woke up to dense fog, which is really not a metaphor for how I feel. Give me time to pee and fart and maybe the internal/external pressure and temperature will equalize. Cold as a brass monkey's balls in the fridge here for September. 46 F degrees, (7.77 C ).

just getting over this cold/bug - if your in the uk and getting symptoms then get to the docs for something because this bug is going around and putting people in hospital around here.
Going to miss going to the gym till energy returns plus I wanted to go camping this days off -shame
