F*cking boiling with anger towards the family (to be fair, when am I not?) cause all my dad's 8 siblings are coming on saturday.

I don't like family gatherings, especially when they happen in my house.

1) Because any social situation like this stresses the bejesus out of me...I can't deal with the anxiety

2) It's always sooooooooo much fun that despite being an accomplished proffesional, family still values your worth on whether you're married or not and how many kids you have.

Yes, yes I know this is all MY fault cause I'm the closeted one here..still, it would be nice to sit through ONE of these gatherings without all the question bombardment about why-no-GFs

To put a nice topping on it all, mother starts yammering about how one "needs to be with the family"...

Nope, I was the only one joining my dad every time when visiting that side of the family.

well I embarrassed myself trying to talk to a hot guy in the gym lol ,,, stuttered too much and started mid sentence as if he knew what I was talkin about ,,,, but at least I gave it a go ....even I find it funny these days,,,,next times a charm I hope

Feeling a bit down right now, been asking friends to go to a Halloween event in our area http://www.scaregrounds.co.uk no one wants to go and I'd absolutly love something like this, I love horror movies and halloweens my fave holiday but no one will come, if I had a partner then this is the type of things you can do as a couple.....guess im just feeling sorry for myself right now for been single, thats life I guess...we cant all win the lottery

Not a safe assumption. My BF won't do anything like this. We had invites to three parties and he didn't want to go to any of them, on the grounds of we wouldn't know anybody but the hosts and it wasn't worth coming up with a whole outfit for an hours' visit.

I had an outfit planned (somewhat slutty member of Italian football team) and he originally talked about being my referee but then he changed his mind and doesn't want to go.

I am kinda bummed today... got word this morning that one of my frat brothers died, I'm guessing out of the blue. Hadn't heard anything about him being sick. I reached out to my "little bro" who I still hang out with to see if he has any more details.
