I keep meaning to do that but I always forget. This is one of those problems alcohol can't solve. Well it might help but I don't like drinking on a sore throat.

I really adore you.. I do..
But when I hear you equate or factor an issue with your health ...to drinking..?
It kinda bothers me..

Would you consider gargling to heal the infected tonsils please..?
Drinking doesn't help the infection. .
It slows your immune system.

*sigh*

In all fairness, alcohol would do wonders controlling that Streptococcus, on the tissue surfaces, at least....but it's non selective, I fear, and equally toxic to both the pathogens and your cells (including the macrophages that are already localized at the site of infection and trying to help you), it would also delay healing....

Sorry. And I will. I like saltwater. I used to always pour it up my nose to clear myself out.

When you spit after gargling..
If you see little specks of yellow in the sink..
You have a bad infection. .

Take care of yourself. .

That's a common misconception. .
If he gargled an alcohol based antiseptic. . Yes..
But if he ingested alcohol. . It will slow the production of anti- bodies needed to fight the infection. .

So in other words a see saw effect. .
Kinda like how drinking a shot of rum if you have the flu makes some people feel better.. and some worse. .
