About 4 hours away [MENTION=20933]LJay[/MENTION]. I really hope I get my driving licence approved because it'd shave off an hour of the journey and I'd just be able to hop down any weekend I want, rather than crappy train journeys that are always hell for me. Hopefully will go down Easter as I'll get the Friday and Monday off as well as the weekend, so can go spend a few days.

Homesickness is certainly not adding to the general feeling, but is that the only source? I'm quite sure there are other things causing you to be like this, maybe? Just for you to have in mind, if that's the case.

Yeah there's a couple of things whirring away in the back of my mind at the moment but usually I can distract myself. It'll be okay, things always sort themselves out Hugs are appreciated though

I know that whirring around in the back of the head stuff too well. Long walks and large doses of loud Beethoven can help me when I'm that way.

Good luck with the health and the license. At least the train option is not impossible. My family is about 800 miles away. With the way US trains (don't) work, the prospect is nearly hopeless. I don't mind flying but it is also too expensive and means a mess with buses and limos at the other end. Pshaw!

I'm in the train from Berlin to Cologne to visit a good friend over the weekend we are travelling together to the smaller city where we studied long ago and met each otherfor the first time. Big trip to my own past, a little bit scary also, but mostly looking forward to it :-)

Got fractured fingers - just had a drink driver go through red lights and destroyed my car was in the hospital till 10pm , crash happened 4.30 pm - very lucky just to get minor injury's though...fractures, whiplash and bruising - My Bad Luck continues

I am an Alcoholic.
It kind of makes me take a step back when hearing your unfortunate circumstances.
Lately I've been taking self inventory of myself----- However this is about You.
I Hope you can heal and play again.

I was going to say that we as a society need to tackle drug and Alcohol addiction.
But I'm sorry to say that this action isn't working.
The only way some people can be helped is the Jail system. --- I know it's a harsh thing to say. But sometimes it is the only solution for our brothers and sisters.

I truly wish you the best, as I actually reflect that I could have been that driver and how Rotten I would feel to have done that to a good person. It would kill me inside.

How bad is the damage--- Is there any chance rehab can get you back to where you once were--- Do you have any movement at all in your hand--

It wasn't intentional or someone out to do you harm.
What was INTENTIONAL was the choice to drink and get behind the wheel knowing the risk you can cause to others.

But alcohol is the Devil and clouds judgement. But that is no excuse because we all know this before taking our first drink.
