How are you today?
gently falling asleep...

I feel excited for the future, empowered and I think I want an almond croissant.

Feeling pretty confused today, my mind just rushes off too quickly and i am impulsive i want so much in my life and need alot more things, i try and fail and i try and then i lose motivation for the things i most want. no amount of advice can help at all yet i do take things on what people say to me. Its sort of like your in a room filling with water and you say yeah ill get out in a minute and then your over come and trapped yet still awake in the fight yet can end or succeed. I hate when people say your still fighting though, yet its getting you no where. I dont know the point of this post but i just wanted to vent how i feel, i could say more but im not a good typer.

Thank you, and true. I took your advice, and took it easy. Feeling better today, and running through bass lines and talking to friends is always fun. Tongue Thanks again. Smile

Firstly I think your typing is fine, and I think allot of us can understand the feeling including myself. Everything just takes time, and your only human like we all are. I'm impulsive, and can lose motivation from time to time as well, but don't lose hope. We all make mistakes, and lose our way from time to time, but that's why friends are there to help pick us up when we fall. You are an awesome person, and the best thing's usually have the longest journey, but I have no doubt it will work out. I hope that made sense and helped. Smile

Well, starlight, for one I can give you some information, not really advice, that was given to me a long time ago. I used to get the feeling you are talking about. I remember talking about it one day and my grandmother told me I was "at sixes and sevens." It is an old phrase that essentially means that things just won't settle. The other bit is from my mother, who said "we all have our days." or, put in another way, "you're going to have your days." Both Mom and Grandma knew that there are times when we are not, as the Shakers said, "Where we ought to be." Give it time. It will pass. The sun will rise in the morning.

Sylph and Insertnamehere, it seems that you both are talking about something that has been on my mind of late, that is to say, a sense of place. I said to someone just recently that I grew up in a small town in the American Midwest and that I have been away from there for nearly 60 years and yet it is still home. I am informed by that place and it is part of me. Though life where I am is not so very different in the day to day routine, that place is as different from where I am, or where I have been since I left it, as night is different from day. That place is my "culture" and will always be evident in the way I think and handle myself, though it may not be obvious to those around me. It is part of what makes me to be myself. Were I to live in any other place, that sense of place will never leave me. I may not wave its flag in a blatant way, though sometimes I do, but it will always be there.

^ Sense of belonging is quite a thing.

One the one side it builds societies on the other hand it tears them apart.

Cue in Syria's and Iraq's artificial borders currently dissolving into nothing! Oh, and Yugoslavia's seemingly never ending process of disintegration.

As for today

There are few days and times i actually fell good but for even the slight happiness i feel it does not last long and takes a huge downer. Im just fed up of trying and getting no where in my life, people just think oh your pissed off of sad or what ever but people do not understand BPD and how it gets you gripped and you can only compare it so much to Depression. I try to think in the sayings you mentioned lol and they did put a smile on my face as when you here them said they just sound funny haha Cheers for your input

Started with a meeting, now the lock is being changed in the office so I can't move until it's done. Then it will be ON.
